This briefly came up on BBC local news but suspect a QO will follow.

A QO has followed for Paul Spencer

On BBC but if I'm right, this doesn't count?

Mind you, is it any different from Yahoo feeds of local news?

Moot point as the BBC has done a proper report, but I don't think that link to the Crewe local news would count unless the BBC quotes the report as well (but i might be wrong).

Cedric A Napoleon, bassist and songwriter notable for his formation and membership of US soul/jazz fusion band Pieces Of A Dream, reportedly dead: https://www.soultracks.com/story-cedric-napoleon-dies

I cannot tie him to the mid/late eighties UK chart entries (they peaked at #84 in 1988), but they were better known Stateside. Here he is lead singing on Fo Fi Fo from 1983:

Wanted to share this but it has already been mentioned. Didn't expect David Thomas to outlive him, and didn't know Gagarin was almost 70..

The LA County Medical Office has just declared Seth Binzer, also known as Shifty Shellshock, the lead singer of Crazy Town known for their hugely popular hit "Butterfly," dead. We are obviously waiting for reports from outlets like TMZ, but it likely won't happen until tomorrow. He battled substance abuse issues for years.

Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme has revealed that he was diagnosed with cancer in 2022. While he didn’t get into specifics, the Queens of the Stone Age frontman says he underwent successful surgery to remover the cancer, and is still in the process of healing.

Emergency surgery for Josh Homme, European leg of the tour cancelled. Curious.

Edit: The Internet suggests that it's a hernia that Homme tried to "play out". Looking even deeper, the touring schedule is killing him. He had lost weight after cancer and seemed healthy in 2023. But he's drinking like crazy and seems to have been in ill health for a couple of months now.

They only cancelled half of the tour, I know that because I'm suppose to see them for the first time in Oslo one month from now. I really hope he recoveres by then.
