Aye, if she's sidelined (as is likely if someone other than Truss is the next boss) does she go back quietly to her - almost - 25,000 majority, or what? It'd take epic tactical voting to unseat her at the next election, but she might opt to clear off anyway.

Nice, assuming Boris bales on parliament before his constituents speak loudly at the next election she might meet him there and continue gazing deeply and quietly getting herself a wide on during debates, or summat.

To think in 8 weeks time it'll likely be Liz Truss at the dispatch box. Someone as equally or quite possibly more inept than Johnson which is some achivement

Hasta la vista?    I don't like the sound of that.

The hypocrisy of these Tory MPs leaves me speechless.

He loved to play the clown, like a few others of our recent right/right-wing leaders. They played their part well, distracting from what their billionaire backers actually did. (Same reason why Mitch McConnell tolerated Donald Trump)

One of Blibberwimble's most loyal lieutenants is sad to see him go....

Lots of speculation he is going to be the new editor of the Evening Standard.

A fairly apt expression of his committment to the wider UK, then

May be in fairly imminent need of new employment if a parliamentary enquiry goes the wrong way. How much his successor would protect him is uncertain, and if the shit hit the fan in his final days it'd be suicidal for his party if he ruled that he didn't have to face a by-election.

I predict that it will go the wrong way, meaning that he will get away with everything as usual.

No chance now. The process to replace him is well underway and he’s not in it.

So, at the moment he resigned he literally couldn't find enough people to form a cabinet and the ever-loyal Grant Schapps was breaking it to him that in another vote of confidence Schapps was only sure of 28 names backing Bojo and the best guess on that number is that it would translate into about 60 votes of support at best.

Boris wants to go back to that moment, and try to hang on, then!

He can't handle bland and calm options, and embraces chaos - summat a psychotherapist might term a "life-script" issue. He could always - like - back his friends in Ukraine by volunteering as a mercenary.

I don't see him undoing his resignation, but he could make a comeback later on.

Aye well, he's sitting on around a 7,000 majority in a seat ripe for tactical voting - assuming he lasts the remainder of this parliament the issue of whether he stands again and - if so - where could get messy very quickly, a very Boris Johnson state of affairs.

Not before the next General Election in my opinion.
