Whitehouse 872 Posted February 6, 2019 Dutch chef John Halvemaan died age 69. He's responsible for bringing Nouveau Cuisine to the Netherlands, and I curse him for that. What a load of crap! He ran three restaurants, each being awarded wit a Michelin star.
Sir Creep 7,070 Posted February 8, 2019 Not a celebrity chef, rather a celebrity’s chef. A top chef who cooked for Russell Crowe and James Packer has been found dead in his cafe. Justin Bull, 46, was found dead in Huxton's cafe in Bronte, Sydney on Friday morning. Bull worked for actor Russell Crowe and casino magnate James Packer before cooking for the New South Wales Blues team ahead of State of Origin last year. Spade_Cooley 9,515 Posted May 20, 2019 If we're doing listamanias, André Soltner (b.1932) is the only person still living who won a James Beard Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award in the 20th century. Other still living lifetime achievement winners: 2004: Alice Waters (b.1944) 2005: Jacques Pépin (b.1935) 2008: Fritz Maytag (b.1937) 2012: Wolfgang Puck (b.1949) 2013: Cecilia Chiang (b.1920) 2014: Sirio Maccioni (b.1932) 2015: Rich Melman (b.1942) 2016: Greg Boyle (b.1954) 2017: Nora Pouillon (b.1943) 2018: Paula Wolfert (b.1938) 2019: Patrick O'Connell (b.1938) I know Wolfert has dementia, but I'd be lying if I said I had any major insight into the health of the rest of that gang.

As Proper Post 1 was a list, and first really regular deadpooling post was a list then... yep, list coming. Here's a list of potential names and ideas for DDPs (and other pools) for folk in 2019. It's a list of frail folk, terminally ill folk, and really old folk rarely mentioned - in an attempt to provide suggestions for all persuasions of the forum. Some are Deathlisty, others more Deathracey, but pretty sure all will get a qualifying obit. Anyhow, I think a fair lot of these names will die in 2019, but there is only room for 20 on my Pan Breed team, so if you want to pick them, good luck! - *snip* - Leah Chase (1923) – Ancient New Orleans celebrity chef and civil rights activist, the latter will see a Guardian QO no doubt. This month, an online auction of some of Bourdain’s most treasured belongings will help fund an effort to continue that legacy. Bidding will run from October 9 to 30, 2019.
