msc 18,476 Posted May 4, 2016 British veteran actors Geoffrey Bayldon ('Catweazel' & also 'The Crowman' in Worzel Gummidge), Sean Connery (The original James Bond & the chap who got his knob out in the 1973 flop-flick Zardoz) & Michael Caine (you're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!') must be nearing the end ? Bayldons alive????? I'm confidently assuming so. 92 & still going strong.. doing what I don't know, but he's probably comatose on Horlicks & Werthers Originals in a nursing home in Berkshire as we type. Well, the 92 bit is accurate. Sadly he's been in frail health for a number of years. If he struggles on into 2017 I will be surprised tbh. There have been rumblings about Sean Connery as he was unable to record even a voice over for the Scottish Indy Ref in 2014. Though that might have been because he couldn't be arsed.

Yup, that sounds about right for 'Mr Grumpy'. He's notorious for being awkward.

Hmm not a name I have come across before but guaranteed a UK obit in the Mail and Telegraph amongst others I would think from reading his wiki.

ImNotHades 207 Posted May 13, 2016 So I don't know if there's a DJ or music producer thread because people are not naming threads related to the topic.....just wanted to say that something's up with Avicii. He's apparently retired and keeps cancelling his concerts. I read somewhere that he's ill or something and stuff.....keep an eye on him. Something weird is going on around him.

Just realized that Avicii will be 27 in September. Club 27 will get a new member. He fits perfectly in that "27" image.
The Happy Reaper 223 Posted May 15, 2016 It seems Barry Nelson first played James Bond in the U.S. TV adaptation of Flemmings 'Casino Royale' in 1954. Can anyone trump that ? Sean Connery was technically the fourth person to appear as Bond - he wasn't even the first on the cinema screen! It went 1) Barry Nelson in a TV version of Casino Royale, as Scraggy says (as a US agent called Jimmy Bond!) 2) Bob Holness in a South African radio adaptation of Moonraker 3) Bob Simmons, a stuntman, is the person who walks out, spins round and shoots at the camera in the opening of Dr. No (I told you it was technical) 4) Sean Connery in the film itself And of course nobody has bettered Connery since... Weirdly, that was shot in black and white. Presumably that was the first shot ever of a Bond film. Did the makers assume the rest of Dr. No would be b/w?
