Derby Dead Pool 2018

Recommended Posts

Even if I was on the forums in the finals day of December, I likely wouldn't have picked Falkholt. Coma picks are always risky.

I would like to congratulate The Dead Cow, Sir Creep, drol, and anyone else who had her on a risk well taken.

You should work out who's led the DDP for the longest overall!

It’s probably you especially with 2011...

Why does DDP accept bbc.co.uk/sport but not bbc.co.uk/music ?
As I recall this would have nabbed a QO for Delpech, and I'm going over a few Lost celebs and right off the bat Luis Bacalov is shown as deceased.  It's the BBC after all.
I am sure there is a reason that I'm unaware of, such as it isn't a news section rather moreso entertainment or summat.
Anyway...I'm going to check some other 2017 Lost one last time, then let them RIP after today.

Thank you. Mind you, she's not gone yet....I picked her, but didn't joker her, so congratulations to those who did. Gave my joker to Leah Bracknell instead, who seemed a safer pick.

I'm hoping for top 100 this year, and when I realized I'd missed Marieke Vervoort, I figured that wasn't going to happen. But I did pick Jessica Falkholt and Rayya Elias, so maybe.

I'm sorry though that such a young person with her life ahead of her had this happen. At least she hopefully doesn't have to wake up to be told she's lost her parents and sister so close to Christmas.

Ah but you have your own forum achievement:

1. Bert

2. Spade

3. Chorizo

4. DDT

5. DI

6. Sir Creep (joint)

7. Drunkasaskunk

8. OoO

9. Toast

10. possibly Ali in 2007 or Banshees in 2009?

The very short list of active Deathlisters who have led the DDP at any point!

(Cue "you forgot me" within 5 posts...)

Shameless led after the first update in 2016 with the Love Boat at 4th. Shameless' lead lasted a couple of weeks.

/music is auto-generated via MusicBrainz or one of those websites, it's no different to having a site that scrapes Wikipedia allowed.

Aye, and MPFC's Carkers Convention led after the first update of 2017, I seem to remember.

I can't remember if I led the DDP at some point last year or not.

Didn't Taking The Michael also have a rare theme-team-leads-the-DDP-proper moment in the first week of whatever year Mike Marqusee died?

Funnily enough, when I was updating the stats, I noticed that one of the best performing non-DL member is Dead Ends (14th points, =7th hits), whom Vinegar Tits knows but does not frequent this site...

I see Falkholt was overlooked by many major competitors. Why?

I tend not to risk last minute accident coma picks, for the most part. And her case was looking 50/50 at submission time.

Well done to those who risked her. A dreadfully sad case though. :(

Yes, one of the strongest non-DL member teams along with Crossing the Styx (who I assume has to at least be a lurker)...
