She's over her cold but I've come down with another one, proving conclusively I am less healthy than a 90+ little old lady.

"African American" - a euphemism increasingly applied to people who are neither African nor American. If you mean black people, say so.

Many of these follow the same pattern. Thread started when person is active and fine, one big health issue, radio silence or no public appearances for ages, then lots of small health issues building to a crescendo. Forsyth's in the latter part, and he never struck me as someone who'd last all that long without TV audiences, or knowing said audiences were definitely gone for good.

So many obits proclaim 'she was the first woman to (insert accomplishment)', that these neophyte ladies deserve their own place in DL. (African Americans sans 'americans' will be getting one too, probably by week's end.) So with that.... Sunset “Sunny” Hale, the first woman in polo history to win the U.S. Open in a male-dominated sport, died Sunday night in Norman, Okla. Hale, 48, died due to complications from cancer. The world’s greatest women’s polo player founded the Women’s Championship Tournament (WCT) that opened the door and broke down barriers for other girls and women to pursue their passion. She helped revive the U.S. Women’s Open in 2011. SC

Liz Truss on Question Time. From being indignant about cheese, it's easy to forget she's now Lord Chancellor. Look at her. Listen to her. Jesus Christ, England, if that's the best you can offer your people, I despair. It's like watching a trainee who's just been appointed CEO....airhead.

For anyone interested the Tories have just gained a seat from Labour in Salford at a council by-election. Obviously Jeremy Corbyn is still doing a wonderful job and anything that is going wrong has nothing to do with his leadership and it's all a conspiracy theory pushed by the media.

Not true. I seem to have joined. Of course, now I'm not a guest, the curse of my posts wont effect people. So I can mention John Demjanjuk here without him dying in the next 24 hours.
