#23: A sea lion was recently captured on camera biting a girl's dress around her lower waist as she sat at the edge of on the dock at Steveston Fisherman Wharf in Richmond, British Columbia and dragging her backwards into the ocean. She immediately surfaced, while a man jumped in and rescued her. Her family soon whisked her away. A Simon Fraser University student filmed the terrifying encounter. He said no one was hurt. SC

#22: A professional big game hunter from Tzaneen, Theunis Botha, 51, died on Friday afternoon during a hunt in Gwai, in Zimbabwe, when a member of his group fired at a storming elephant cow and the animal fell on him. A group of hunters had gone for a walk on Friday afternoon when they suddenly came across a breeding herd of elephants. Three elephant cows stormed the hunters and Botha shot at them. A fourth cow stormed them from the side and one of the hunters shot her after she’d lifted Botha with her trunk. The shot was fatal and as the cow collapsed, she fell on Botha. SC

MMMDP Form Guide #50 Peter Blake Not much going with his health, but with a particular album reaching it's 50th anniversary this year, and he did the cover art for this particular album, could he be the lucky man who makes the grave June 1st?

He's a former MotoGP World Champion and is currently riding in the World Superbike Championship, which I'm pretty sure I said up there somewhere. Although sadly looks he won't be riding again.

January-April 2017 = 106 hits January-April 2010 = 56 hits So, you know, could have been worse. Or better, depending on your POV, of course! Pretty sure Messrs Christie, Downie and Meads are quite happy with a slow hit rate at this point in time...

Theresa says Jezza cannot be trusted with the defence of the nation. She's right. On Trident, Thornberry says one thing, Griffith says something else and Jezza has a third way. Maybe that's why it's called Tri-dent. But can Theresa and crew be trusted? If Trump says launch, the Tories say we will launch. Without consultation. Without thought. Without regard to the people of the nation or whether it's in UK interests rather than America's interest. That's your choice on defence. So technically it's not an issue at the election.

Aye good luck there DDT. To be fair we'd be slaughtered in League One. Told you we chased games to the very end. Great moment in the pub last night when you lot went 2-0 up and the much larger contingent of Carlisle fans started chanting "3-2, we're gonna win 3-2." Once we equalized the Exeter lot down the other end of the bar were really quiet. 95th minute changed all that, of course. Rooting for you lot on the 28th if only because any success going to Blackpool under their current owners doesn't amuse me.

#20: The only elephant in the Lahore Zoo, Suzi, died on Saturday morning. Imported in 1988, Suzi was a popular attraction at the zoo and had captivated generations of audiences since its inception at the zoo. Officials at the zoo could not confirm a cause of death before the medical report was made available. In 2015 the Lahore Zoo lost the last of the 3 giraffes they imported a mere 8 years earlier (giraffes typically live 20-25 years in captivity). So no giraffes and no pachyderms. What the hell kinda zoo is that?! SC

#19: This evening a resident of Rolling View Dr discovered an uninvited quest in her garage. After a brief chase, involving local animal control and midnight shift officers, the subject, later identified as "Delilah" the donkey, was apprehended and brought back home. Apparently she had just decided to take a midnight stroll around the Connecticut neighborhood. SC

Ken Stork, a retiree who took up acting late in life, died after suffering a heart attack onstage 10 minutes into his lead performance in “Art of Murder”. He was 66. Nine hours after he died, his second grandchild, a baby girl named Lydia, was born in the same hospital. (so I've posted the first DOUBLE irony, though it's more coincidence, and here come the Webster Dictionary/O.E.D. police in 5, 4, 3, 2....). SC
