4 pointsAnd I was right. In one of the longest ever gaps between a death and a QO, the use of the term "the late Vanessa Lafaye" in this story from The i, means points are a coming.

3 pointsPamela Anderson dying but her death not making a single newspaper front page because someone had won £6billion on the lottery. Then later on my late night TV talk show was cancelled after I got #MeToo'd by Lucy Liu. I'm under a lot of stress at work.

3 pointsI think I found this site in 2016 or so, but just looked at the main page from then until joining the forums this year. I guess I'm one of the newer members, but I'm glad for the site and the fellow people who have interest in celebrities and celebrity deaths. Just to add: I had always been interested in celebrity deaths for as long as I can remember, checking the "Famous Deaths" page in Wikipedia daily for probably over a decade.

3 pointsI must have been visiting this site for maybe 13-14 years. Didn't start taking any notice of the forums till much later. I found deathlist when I was in my previous job. I was driving back from a field trip with a superior and we were talking about Ronnie Biggs and he thought he was dead. I thought he was still alive so when I got back to my office I googled it and there it was. The government filters wouldn't let me access the site though because it was considered "poor taste" or some similar term. Considering I have been in my current job 10 years and it was a few years before I left the old one it must be that long. So to answer your question, yes it does make me feel old.

2 pointsThe i is because it's still a print publication. The Independent isn't a print publication so it doesn't count. I know it's arbitrary, but it's at least consistent.
-
2 pointsOver 10 years since I found the site iirc due to going "Randy Pausch? Who the hell was that? Googles..." Actually, a few days ago was the 10th anniversary of Mrs Msc's only forum post. We'd just moved into our first flat together at the time.

2 pointshttp://www.metalsucks.net/2018/11/27/this-is-the-best-band-breakup-announcement-of-all-time/ “Due to the unfortunate reality of our guitarist fucking my girlfriend of almost 7 years WITCHROT will be taking an extended hiatus. I however will continue the band in another space and time, being ripe with hate the music is slowly flowing and without a doubt will become the most devastating, torturous music I have ever created. Thanks for the support, stay heavy – Peter “Also our drummer died…” LOL

1 pointAlso, dammit charon, can you no announce someone else's shortlist candidates? I'm sure DI or Reptile have some great ones...
-
1 pointOooh. Maybe the announcement of the Doctor Who season 18 Blueray set might include a reference to The Leisure Hive written by the late David Fisher.

1 pointDL-y? I mean, I'm clearly biased given he's Ian, but... ignoring Who, he was also a leading TV actor of the 50s (Sir Lancelot, Nicholas Nickleby) and an RSC actor for 30 odd years (including the lead in Hamlet more than once), plus The Great Escape, Superman, The Man Who Never Was, Above Us the Waves, Blackadder, Corrie, etc etc.

1 pointDevin Lima's smelling like a Lyte Funkie One, leading to a few teams dropping in scores. Alas, the narrow hopes of a grand paddyfool comeback seem to be quashed. 1. machotrouts 17 2. 1 pointTezza May's Burns celebration didn't go too well. Only invited Tory donors, snubbed SNP and Scottish Labour MPs, spelt the names wrong of a few of her own new Scottish Conservative MPs on the guest list, served (ugh) crispy haggis as a starter (which Mundell actually had the temerity to address) and celebrated Burns as part of the great British Union to which we belong. And Burns was anti-Union. What a dismal, dismal display.

1 pointWhat a white hypocrite you are. A week ago you were saying this guy does not warrant his own thread, now you're on the bandwagon. You going to get dreads this afternoon too and then going to blockbuster to rent out Coming to America???
