4 pointsI concede my prediction on Page 3 might have been just a tad over optimistic. But in general, recent years tend to level out to circa 12, so I think we'll get there. What the thread needs is Sean's list of teetering folk from 2017, but as he's busy 1. Larry King - severe heart issues, allegedly on road out. Nearly died due to major HA earlier this year. 2. Little Richard - frail with health issues, no longer able to read fan mail. 3. Clive James - Written his "last article", allegedly. Also possibly twinned with Valerie Harper. 4. Tony Britton - Really old and in a care home. 5. Gorbachev - Spent vast chunks of 2019 in hospital, ill and frail. 6. Jimmy Greaves - Been on bored time since 2015. 7. Honor Blackman - Rumblings on here about her health few weeks ago? 8. Leah Bracknell - tbh she has Stage IV lung cancer, and could go downhill overnight. 9. Vera Lynn - Increasingly frail and really, really old. 10. Robert Mugabe - Hospitalised in Singapore several times for health problems 11. Bob Dole - Old and looks like fucking shite in increasingly rarer public appearances. 12. Akihito - So frail, the Japanese let him abdicate. 13. Stirling Moss - Major health problems, backed up by his public retirement and the word of our man in the know. 14. Jacques Chirac - Frail and end stages of dementia, no longer recognises anyone. 15. Nobby Stiles - Seemingly on his last legs since 2014. It wouldn't really surprise if any of them die between now and December 31st. Plus I think we're due one of the old timers going, just on law of averages.

2 pointsI guess when you listened you weren't off your head on acid in a big barn full of flashing lights, wearing your roller skates and a Smiley badge. I'm afraid that's how most mixes of that era went over my head, because I never did that. Never said it was a classic, and can't imagine the kids from that time ever finding themselves later humming them while waiting to pick the kids up from school.

1 pointI still play old rave music sometimes when I'm doing the housework, although I no longer take the drugs to go with it, so somehow I struggle to capture that euphoric rush of the old days when I'm emptying the dishwasher.

1 pointFeels to me like it's more in the sense of "I'm old and won't be here for years and years" than "I'm close to death". We'll see.

1 pointWe also missed chaplain and noted basketball fan Sister Jean of Loyola University reaching the centenary mark. Are there any other centenarians who've had bobbleheads of them made?

1 pointI was thinking that we hadn't seen anything of Terence for a while. He didn't look too well on the last Dr Who documentaries he did either. RIP to a Dr Who and Science Fiction legend -. He is one of the important, influential and long-serving people who ever worked on the show either in front of or behind the camera (along with Robert Holmes, Barry Letts, Douglas Camfield, etc). He also did so much on other Dr Who projects - the Target books and too many other things to mention.

1 pointI would definitely like to see Sean Connery and Tony Bennett return. Both would be a massive miss if they are not on the list

1 pointFront page of The Sun today discusses an overdose taken by Kellie (formerly Frank) Maloney suggesting a combination of someone putting doubts in her mind about sex-change surgery combined with being lonely because she can't find a partner was behind the whole thing. Either way, I'm seeing her finding lots of support, in next year's DDP!

0 pointsMy Father in law died this morning aged 65, would of been 66 later this week, been expecting it for a while but the end came quite quickly after he had been stable for a while. He had diabetes for years but he didn’t look after himself when younger eventually he had to have his leg amputated due to infection caused by diabetes about a 2 years ago but he never really recovered and infections kept coming back about a month or so ago we thought that he was about to die as he went into organ failure and were told to prepare for the worse but he sort of stabilised much to the amazement of Doctors until the early hours this morning when he died. Sad but probably a blessing long term as he had no quality of life. In fact death seems to be following me around today found out today my next door neighbour died aged 74 over the weekend, went to tell my Grandma about Father in laws death and there was an ambulance and Police outside one of her Neighbours house and one of them had died during night granted didn’t know them but still then went to work and found out managers Dad died over weekend of a Brain Tumour again didn’t know him but that’s 4 deaths I have found out about today and it isn’t even midday yet.
