Updated list above, adding the 1924 births from IMDb. They beat me to uncovering the deaths for two of them since drafting up the original list. Another 6 are also dead. 3 in limbo. The rest are all still with us – many of them doing well! Of note – Joyce Randolph is ill. The lists are ordered by views to each profile... didn't realise Mark Miller was so popular(?), up there at 3rd most clicked on. Also updated the 1916 names for Cleary's death. IMDb have been pretty good with me since I started this. They've accepted all of the changes I've submitted to them so far, bar one (which used an Ancestry family tree – if anything, it's good to see they're being more cautious nowadays).

Yes, that's better. The point is that a post with only a link in it will not be picked up by someone searching for mentions of Sachin Tendulkar (or whoever the post is about). It's also good practice to mention what it's about in the post, because people are not always able or willing to click on links.

@Octopus of Odstock, I'm going to do 1925 (48 names) and 1926 (73 names) then that's everyone turning 95+ this year covered. I'll finish this in a couple of weeks tops. Do ping me a list of names of footballers or actors you want me to look into and I'll happily report back what I find! @msc, Laurie Webb was a name I had come across before. He didn't appear in the above list because for each Year of Birth I only covered the 500 most clicked on profiles (and then picked out all the ones without death dates), so this project hasn't covered the entire depth of IMDb, but still a fair chunk. Sad to hear about Russell. He has quite a young family too iirc, becoming a father quite late?

Oddly Wiki references Laurie Webb being born in 1924 but not at the top of the page. He's still alive, here's a picture of him Christmas 2017 when well enough to still provide thoughts for a Dr Who DVD release. As for William Russell, I posted this last year: and I have heard within the last couple of weeks that age has begun to catch up considerably with him, and that he is "not in a good way". Words that are genuinely painful to write as obviously William is very dear to Who fans (and classic British TV fans tbh - Sir Lancelot et all, and I am both!).

How far are you going to go with this Ulitzer95? I have many actors that starred in a Jimmy Stewart film that I doubt are alive but on those I wouldn't know where to start. I think I've done as much research as I can on oldest footballers but I'm not on Ancestry. If you ever want another project, I'd appreciate a quality researchers eye over that list.

Right, let’s have a look at this R3 clash: The Quim Reaper V deadsox The Quim Reaper Best performance: Quarter Finalist, 2019. Won last round against Wormfarmer, 6-0. Tony Bennett - Unique. Thought he would be. Just a hunch his dementia might be further along than we perhaps thought. James Lovelock - Unique. Legendary scientist, old. Opined that he was in the last % of his life last year, or about 1% of his life ago. Josip Manolic - Unique. I figured that I’m quite good at the Oldest Living State Leaders Deadpool and he’s my current pick in that. That’s as far as my logic got with that. Pat Martino - Unique. A name I threw in because I was most surprised he was still alive. Also picked by Joey and GUN last round so can’t be all that fucking stupid a pick. Tom Parker - Unique. Punted, just incase his slightly shrunken tumour isn’t as good news for him as we think it is. Leslie Phillips - Only me and Bib picked this cadaver. Got to be his time at some point, surely?! Susie Steiner - Am reasonably confident she’s had it, backed up further by Spade and Reptile picking her. Miguel van Damme (JOKER) - Unique. If he dies, I’ll be in a fine position indeed. But the fact that only I picked him probably means I’ve missed some good news about him. He’s probably made a full recovery and is climbing Everest for charity. Frank Williams - It’s been a sad year for motorsport so far - Walker, Schmitz, Dumfries...ah who am I kidding, Sir Frank will be fine. Stupid pick. Notes: I honestly could’ve sworn blind that you couldn’t pick people for consecutive months. In my defence, my last couple of weeks have been utterly manic and exhausting. If I’d have had a firm grasp of the rules, I’d have put Bjelland, Dole, Kasvi, Whale and Ximenez in the places of T Bennett, Lovelock, Manolic, Parker and Williams. Anyway, excuses over - I’m fucked. deadsox Best performance: Champion, 2017. Won last round against theoldlady on a coin toss, 0-0. Kat Bjelland - Yeah, probably minutes from death. Would’ve been my joker had I not made a big throbbing cunt job of understanding the rules. Rob Bolland - Unique. Don’t know who he is or why he’s here, but then I’m an amateur. Lawrence Brooks - Unique. 111, so clearly can’t be written off. Reuven Bulka - A fucking Rabbi from Ottawa who’s shitting cancer. How does one find names like this, please? Bob Dole - Yeah. Geezer has a couple of months, tops. Looked like he was about to die even before the cancer diagnosis. Should’ve featured on my team. Hester Ford - Unique. Oldest living person in the US, at 115. Figures. Jyrki Kasvi (JOKER) - Yet another name I should’ve had. A likely 6-pointer to slap me about the chops with. Prince Philip - Well, I wouldn’t have said so but plenty would. James Whale - Surprised he’s still alive. Also tossed this tosser from my team when I didn’t want to. Notes: A strong looking lineup. Only very bad luck will lose this team the place in the QF, I reckon. Not as many uniques as my team, but definitely more reasonably safe bets. I’d like to wish deadsox all the very best in his draw against either Banana or AOG (for my money, probably the former). Common Picks: Jana Bennett - Staggeringly still alive. Yu Mo-Lin - Or however it’s spelled. Popular.

Congratulations to @deadsox for making it to the 3rd round! Good luck to you during the rest of the game! Thanks Joey for running this game in a timely and excellent manner.

Okay, so I had it in my head that you couldn’t carry over your picks from last round. So basically more than half of the team I submitted wouldn’t have made the cut. Bugger, bollocks and arse.

Not long after the last Watergate burglar died, the chief Plumber has been flushed out. G. Gordon Liddy has died, and his love of the media spotlight (with his own radio show and numerous TV guest spots) stood in stark contrast to the burglars so reclusive they died off radar! No wiretapping required to be informed of my points obtained, which is 30 base points and 12 bonus unique points, for 42 total.
