5 pointsReport of the death of Scottish actor Ken Hutchison who has died aged 72: https://www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk/fp/tributes-for-fife-actor-ken-hutchinson-star-of-straw-dogs-and-the-sweeney-who-has-passed-away/ Starring role as Norman Scutt in Straw Dogs, he then went on to play Matt Harvey in The Onedin Line and Heathcliff in a TV adaptation of Wuthering Heights (round about the same time that Kate Bush released her choon). @msc may be able to expound more as he was an alumnus of Taggart and Hamish MacBeth as well as various other cop shows with an honourable mention for us sci-fi nerds for Space: 1999. 5 pointsAs a fellow Plymouthian- it’s been a dreadful 36 hrs here. Whilst we here aren’t afraid of death this event has been off the scale. Keyham is predominately a working class part of the City and was built with Victorian terraced houses for Dockyard workers. It’s home to HMS Drake as well. The street and park were created from the old railway line back in the 80s and is probably the newest street in the area. The first we knew something bad was happening at work was call from CCTV advising us to stay in or get back to bases ASAP. Then we were told if safe to do so, to drive immediately home. In the meantime, Drakes Circus the shopping centre was closed as they thought another gunman was in the area- then Stonehouse pubs was told to close for same reason. Only when home did we learn of the full horror. I’ll give both BBC Spotlight , BBC Radio Devon and ITV Westcountry with the local paper Herald, the due diligence. No rumours, just facts . Social media in the City however gave the name of the killer hours before, and as for Twatter- Jess have I had to stop myself going for some on there. Plymouth whilst being a City is like a collection of villages and we all know people all over. Thank fucking god he killed him self as the next row of shops in Henderson Place is a bookies, a charity shop and Lidl’s so would have been really busy. What’s the worst is the cunt ( and I make no apology for using that word) killed a 3 year old girl and her Dad. That’s horrendous and that’s what’s shocked us probably the worst but nobody should have died Thursday night. Correctly we remember the victims- he will rot in his hell. It’s our darkest hour since the Blitz in 1941, but we’ll come together, rebuild lives and remember those sad 5 lives cruelly ended.

3 pointsDilys Watling was in a lot of comedy shows too, reliably appearing with everyone from Reg Varney, Terry Scott, Frankie Howerd to Dick Emery and The Two Ronnies. She was also the half-sister of Deborah Watling, our lovely Victoria Waterfield from Doctor Who, who died a few years ago. Absolutely deserves a QO, who knows? RIP.

3 pointsGreat minds think alike Time I had just sent Boudicca a picture of our visit to the Bols Museum, rest assured it wasn't one of you, me and Hein looking pissed drinking strong cocktails! August 2012 DL Con Amsterdam was quite an experience. Myself, Time, Rotten Ali, Magere Hein, welshman and harrymcnallysblueand white army all attended and we had the best weekend apart from the dodgy vegan restaurant complete with a seperate dining room room with antiques/jumble sale crap covering every surface - the dolls were creepy. I have a shedload of photos from those 3 days. Somewhere I have a great photo of all 6of us at the end of the Saturday night, think it was taken just after Mr. McNally bought everyone a whisky shot and that tipped us over the edge into complete drunkenness. I think I have been able to upload a photo of me outside said Bols museum from that day.

2 pointsI hope it hasn't been posted before.... didn't find anything... it seems that DDP pick and centenarian Swedish actress Sylva Akesson died in May at 104, but you have to dig deep for a source. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0959796/

2 pointsSerial comet discoverer and DDP Pick Carolyn Shoemaker being reported dead on the Twitterjibberjabber: Awaiting the usual.... Edit: Might be a mix up on the part of the posters as Carolyn's sister in law seems to have a recent obituary....gawd knows, not beyond the realms that they died in quick succession....bloody birdsong...

1 pointWell you've mentioned he played the rapist in Straw Dogs. The Taggart he's in is the one where the policeman's wife is murdered when he's on duty and that one never sticks in the mind very long. However, he's far more infamous in Hamish MacBeth. He's the escaped convict who kills Wee Jock! That's genuinely one of the best bits of TV from the 90s, as Hamish goes out to avenge the ghost haunted killers of his beloved pet. Hutchison is very good as an old timer with increasingly several screws loose in his noggin. He was a very good actor who wasn't afraid to play utter cunts on TV and film for our enjoyment. (Pictured on the right, next to the late Billy McColl, Scottish actor who died far too young in 2014...)

1 pointIndeed, and what a blessing he gave up so quickly. It reminds me of Hungerford, where the miscreant also shot his mother, but his rampage went on for hours and cost many more lives.

1 pointEmilio looks much better than last month. Also, the reason his eyes are not open is because he is blind. Saw a video of him from around a month ago where he said his name loudly. In a much better condition than I thought.

1 pointIndeed that is a very good point! Also had a friend that saw Mr. Petty in Hyde Park, pretty amazing gig by all accounts and he was only a year or two younger than Jeff, I might have to rethink that one :-)

1 pointI saw Mr. Lynne in concert at Wembley Stadium, London in June he was looking pretty fit to me and put on a brilliant concert. He's not a kick in the backside away from being 70 but I have seen much younger musicians that don't have the stamina he has, I won't be adding him to my list anytime soon. (Apologies for the rubbish photo!)
