4 pointsThe validated top 10 currently, with health notes: Kane Tanaka, 119: Critically ill, has a permanent nasal cannula. Previous health issues include surviving parathypoid fever in the 1930s, pancreatic cancer in the 1940s and colorectal cancer in the 2000s. Lucile Randon, 117: Current condition unknown, has previously survived a mystery disease that killed her sister in 1905, heart attack and carotid artery surgery in 1995 at 91, covid in january 2021 at 116. Wheelchair-bound for around 9 years? Antonia da Santa Cruz, 116: Current condition unknown, looked frail and thin in mid-2021. DEAD Tekla Juniewicz, 115: Seems to have been bedbound on her 112th birthday, survived "serious illness" at 113. Not that frail-looking currently. Thelma Sutcliffe, 115: Looks frailish but reportedly in good health. DEAD Valentine Ligny, 115: Hospitalised shortly before her 110th due to a fall, suffered one in december 2020. Not seen in a while and I'm not sure if there's been a new picture of her anywhere in a year. DEAD Yoshi Otsunari, 115: Formerly known as Anonymous of Fukuoka. Condition unknown, seems like there aren't photos of her anywhere. DEAD Maria Branyas Morera, 114: Survived covid in april 2020, seems to be in great condition. Casilda Benegas, 114: Survived covid in december 2020. Frailish. Fusa Tatsumi, 114: In a wheelchair for over 13 years, ultrafrail for years, bedbound on her 114th birthday in april 2021. Would be suprised if she makes it to 115.

3 pointsI tend to agree with this analysis. Cause of death was given as pneumonia, which would wipe out even some of the healthiest of centenarians. Swift and painless end though. "The old man's friend" as it used to be known as in the UK.

3 pointsI didn’t think she was that thin to be honest. Certainly thinner, but not death’s door thin. I can imagine she is under a lot of personal stress at the minute. I’d imagine she feels let down and disappointed by Prince Andrew and is probably aware that she will have to cut him off. I did see that there were calls for him to be stripped of his military appointments. I think she knows he is guilty as sin now and knows she will have to make an example of him. The Harry and Meghan carry on is a mere sideshow for her.

3 pointsThanks for the entry Wormfarmer. Whenever you have finished helping your uncle jack off a horse, we should have a chat about capital letters. For now though, all is good- best of luck in the pool.

2 pointsThanks for the entry WhoamI. Two things I have learned this morning: 1. You can ski in Australia - who knew? 2. After 2 years of doing this pool, I have just realised that the last letter of your name is an I and it spells Who am I. For two years I thought it was a lower case L and couldn't figure out what the name meant! I have 2 degrees you know, one at Masters level. And yet I am still as thick as pigshit at times

2 points@arghton Elaine V. Merk (correct spelling) b. 19 Dec 1930, married George A. Binder in 1959. Has attended reunions, often as "Elaine Merk Binder". Living in Alhambra, CA as recently as 2018. Could've died since then, though the Oz community is generally as sharp as anything. Valerie Lee Shepard b. 14 Dec 1931 as Lois Valerie Shepard. Now goes by the name of Lois V. Haynes. Still signing autographs in 2018 and notes on StarTiger suggest she was alive in late 2020, residing in Reseda, CA. Viola Faye White b. 12 Jan 1930, later became Viola Faye Banks, but she died on 8 Jan 2000 (aged 69) in Nebraska. So (assuming none of them have died off radar in the last few years), there are 7 living cast members, 6 of whom were child actresses.

2 pointsAustrian Holocaust survivor Gertrude Pressburger, who became involved in her country's 2016 election, warning about hatred and exclusion, has died. She was 94. Pressburger was persecuted despite her family having converted from Judaism to Catholicism in the 1930s. https://weartv.com/news/nation-world/austrian-holocaust-survivor-mrs-gertrude-dies-at-94

2 pointsLucille Randon is quite impressive ! She's a little bit overshadowed by Tanaka and that's understandable but I would be quite proud to see her as the "oldest woman alive" at some points, cause at her age, the fact that she's not is unbelievable ! I'd love to see a French take the title for a little while. She seems quite healthy and still active from the recent videos of her so I'd say she can easily reach her 118th birthday but not sure about her 119th, everything can happen at those ages…

2 pointsLittle surprised that Turnbull got on but Alagiah didn’t. I think the latter would’ve been a better pick…
