So thats that then. A topic that started 17 years and 185 pages ago in response to an April Fools rumour about her health the Queen is finally in the ground, returned to her husband, parents and sister. Not as many appearances (4) as Kirk Douglas (18), Clive Dunn (16) or even her mother (14) but arguably the biggest name to ever appear on the list. Unless some form of tragedy were to befall William it would seem unlikely that anyone alive today will see another sovereign on the throne for 70 years. Maybe a discussion for his page but watching the coverage in the past few days, apart from other senior members of the Royal family the only other person I could think of that might be afforded a state funeral would be David Attenborough but I suppose time will tell on that one.

Top man, David McCallum is properly DLy,, one of the all time greats. I was just surprised he didn't have a thread when so many lesser folk do. (Just repost that birthday photo here, since it's his own thread now.)

José Eulogio Gárate, Argentine-born Spanish footballer who played as a striker for the great Atlético Madrid of the late 1960s and early 1970s and was nicknamed "The Knight of Football" for his sporting elegance and fair play, is 78 today. During his time at Atlético, Gárate played 241 games and scored 135 goals. Manuel Zelaya, popularly known as Mel, Honduran businessman, politician and rancher who served as the President of Honduras from 27 January 2006 until 28 June 2009, is 70 today. On June 28, 2009, Zelaya was deposed in a military coup.

David McCallum turned 89 yesterday, already mentioned in the Birthday thread. This photo shared on Facebook was worth posting, however. Dunno if it was recent or old (his family member may know!) but too good not to share regardless. Also, I am legit shocked David McCallum doesn't have his own thread. He's David McCallum!!!!

If cause of her death is revealed, it should be good for another few pages.

American actor Gary Cole celebrates his 66th birthday today. His most famous role is as late night Radio presenter Jack 'Nighthawk' Killian in early 1990s hit drama 'Midnight Caller" who had a phone in show for listeners that often formed the basis for each episodes story as a troubled soul rang in.

The first act of the new king should be forbidding anyone from naming their child “Meghan”. Never met or known of a Meghan/Megan who wasn’t a cunt, or at best, a massive chav.

The Thai King didn't attend, Thailand didn't even send a royal, they only sent their UK ambassador. Some say this was a revenge for the UK sending Prince Andrew to King Bhumibol's funeral in 2017. Others say that it wss because he wasn't allowed to wear a crop top at the funeral. By the way, the guy in orange in Picture 2 was Bogoda Seelawimala Thera, Head Priest of the London Buddhist Vihara and the current Chief Sangha Nayaka of Great Britain, a Buddhist leader who had met QEII a few times.

The women get as well. They just don’t tend to wear them. Women do get to wear the Order of the Monarch though, which men don’t get. Don’t hear you complaining about that inequality eh, eh? Mind you I can’t see Meghan getting that Order either; not because she’s a bit black, but because she is an arsehole.

He had a professionalism and focus about him that put him ahead of his peers, I wouldn't be surprised if he was almost the last to go of the racers who were entered in his final season 1973, looking over the grid for the last race (which he pulled out of after his team mate died in practice), there are a smattering of survivors Brian Redman, Jochen Mass, Jody Sheckter... I feel some speculation coming on over how many will be standing when JYS goes.

Tindall's are for MBE, Diamond Jubilee medal, Platinum Jubilee medal.

Everyone knows the reasons why, but it does seem ironic that Harry and Andrew, the only two in the family who saw active service, are the two not allowed to wear uniforms. Edward never completed his Marines training did he? Yet he has a chestful of medals. And what on earth did Tindall get his for?

Sad news. She was well known for her work in the runway shows of designers Karl Lagerfeld/Chanel and Shiatzy Chen, and she also appeared in print campaigns for Burberry, Hermes, and Calvin Klein
