2 pointsHollywood is a cesspit and I'm not surprised by any of that. These people have defended monsters for years. He has been protected for years but now his star has faded along with the protection, how he has avoided getting killed is a mystery.I mean he nearly did a few times but seems like the cat with 9 lives

2 pointsI knew he was totally messed up but when you watch the whole documentary you can't believe the guy hasn't overdosed , killed himself or been shot for his behaviour.

2 pointsRobert Redford from a couple weeks ago. Eastwood seemingly hasn't been seen in public since February as posted earlier in the thread. Could be either or imo assuming it's not bs.

2 pointsDustin Hoffman, Mel Brooks, Woody Allen, Robert Duvall and Jack Nicholson are also possibilities. Even if this source is accurate, which I doubt, there’s no guarantee that it is referring to Eastwood, who has always looked in good shape.

1 pointKing Henry III of England died on this day 750 years ago, aged 65. Henry became king at the age of 9 when his father, king John, died. He would be coronated in late October 1216, and had a second in May of 1220, when he was 12 years old. At this time, the regent monarchy was led by William Marshal and Ranulf de Blondeville, two nobles loyal to John. Henry would formally take power in 1227. In 1230, Henry led an invasion of France in order to reclaim family lands- this failed, although a truce was signed with Louis IX. Henry was known for his lax authority, with his court gaining power- it was during this time that the term "parliament" first appeared, describing the court's large meetings, largely about taxation. Henry was also unable to create a stable government in the middle of his reign- beginning with a barons' revolt in 1258, and a civil war in 1263. Henry died after a 56-year reign. It was the longest in British history until George III surpassed this in November of 1816.

1 pointIs this the obituary for DDP pick Dan Lembo, from Survivor: Nicaragua? https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/new-york-ny/daniel-lembo-10913602

1 pointI think that item strongly points to Eastwood above all else. Maybe Allen. But with the other possibilities, my feeling is the wording would be different. Of course, it could be entirely made-up.

1 pointI think Eastwood is the likeliest name that's come up there. He's the most prolific director, the most "iconic" star, and I think the oldest person.

1 pointHoward Wilkinson is 79 today. Wilkinson had a patchy career as a league player, with 22 appearances for hometown Sheffield Wednesday over 4 seasons (he'd initially signed for rivals United but never played for them) before playing over a hundred matches for Brighton & Hove Albion, then in the third division of the Football League. Following this, he dropped to non-league Boston United, where he began his managerial career, becoming player-manager in 1975. His first Football League managerial position was at Notts County, where he succeeded Jimmy Sirrell for a season before moving on to second division Sheffield Wednesday, winning promotion to the first division in his first season, where they stayed for the next four seasons*. In 1988 he moved to Leeds United, winning promotion the first division the following season, and then two years later winning the league championship (the last before the formation of the breakaway Premiership, and also the last English League championship won by an English manager). Following the end of the season, he sold one Eric Cantona to Manchester United. He became technical director for the national team following his departure from Leeds, during which time he oversaw the development of the National Football Centre (St. George's) Burton, Staffs and had an unsuccessful stint as England U21 manager, as well as two brief periods as caretaker of the senior side, chiefly memorable for an exchange with a radio reporter who asked pointed questions following a disappointing 0-0 draw; Wilkinson snapped, asking what qualified a mere radio reporter to ask such questions of professionals, to be countered with the reply "43 England Caps, 15 as captain". It was Jimmy Armfield. On leaving the England set-up, subsequent managerial roles included a spell at Sunderland and Shanghai Shenhua, then various other coaching and backroom roles and is currently the chairman of the League Managers' Association.
