Reginald Hsu, Miiko Taka's widower, dead at 94. Which I only mention because he got a normal confirmed obituary whereas his more famous wife couldn't scrape a single thing... makes sense...

King Edward III died on this day 646 years ago, aged 64. - Edward became king at the age of 14 when his father, Edward II, was ousted in a coup led by his wife Isabella, and Isabella's lover Roger Mortimer became the de facto ruler of England. Edward would oust Mortimer in 1330 and took complete control. - In 1332, Edward initiated an invasion of Scotland, unsuccessfully attempting to replace their king (David II) with Edward Balliol. - In 1337, Edward's cousin Philip VI of France confiscated England's French realms. In retaliation, Edward declared himself the rightful heir to the French throne, initiating the Hundred Years' War (which lasted 116 years in actuality). This war defined the rest of Edward's reign. - Edward's married Philippa of Hainault when he was 15 years old, and they had nine children (7 sons and 2 daughters). His heir, Edward the Black Prince, died a year before his father, and when Edward died, the crown went to his grandson Richard II- Richard's cousin Henry (IV) considered himself the heir, which began the Wars of the Roses (medieval European royalty was just one big dysfunctional and incestuous family). - Edward died of a stroke after a fifty-year reign, the second-longest reign of an English monarch at the time (his great-grandfather Henry III reigned 56 years).

Vratislav Vajnar, Interior Minister of Czechoslovakia in the 1980s accused of border killings now suffers from a severe but very stable case of DEAD. Edit: I think it's very possible he topped himself, a medical assessment was going to be done sometime soon.

I didn't like it very much, 3/5 of the songs that passed are not in the best of this round for me, I only liked 2, many eliminated were much better than these, and with a lot of advantage, but that's just my opinion and this game is for you to find out what the majority thinks is democracy, the result will not always be what everyone thinks

Robinson’s obviously the bigger star now but Eddy probably sold more records than him in the 60s. Certainly had more hits.

Boris Johnson is mouthing off to make headlines and bolster his leadership campaign. I don't have strong feelings on a burka ban either way, I just think the outrage on the topic is ridiculous. It's a legitimate debate to be had, but the media seems intent on causing a furore around it to stifle the arguments - in much a similar way they did regarding immigration for years previous to the EU referendum and look how that blew up. The point was, whether you like Johnson (I don't) or not, the views he expressed are in touch with the majority of Britain (according to that Sky Poll).

I saw Annie Clark aka St. Vincent aka the former girlfriend of Cara Delevigne two days ago. It was ok. She came alone, without the band. While you go to her concerts to see her shred you to pieces with her guitar, and we got that, it was just slightly underwhelming.

I've thought for hours once before, about how Adolf Hitler could with stand such stiff hate, and be so cold hearted. And never feel one drop of guilt in his empty conscience. His pathetic inner self, and hopelessness made him who he was. It was revenge. It was payback time. Not any conscious walking human being could suffer more then him. He believed this and within this man he held no mercy. For what ever his downfall could have been, he wanted the reflection shined on every living creature. The wish for all to suffer deeply in your heart is the face of true evil. And when Berlin was captured, the mad man Hitler came out more and more, demanding suicides of his own soldiers, and harsh direction to top SS commanders. Hitler failed, but for the second time. The first failure which led to his fallen glory may never be revealed, in the second he took a revolver to his head. I believe Adolf Hitler died long before 1945. What long lived in him was not of his own. I don't know if this is the place for it, but it's my two cents.
