a “sad last days” article from msn… sourced from radaronline, so take this with a sizeable grain of salt to save you a click, and spare your phones the viruses and spyware, it includes statements like “requires 24-hour care” and “struggles to breath and needs an oxygen tank”, also an unnamed source (“tipster”) indicates she is “extremely weak and frequently delusional” most-likely trash, but the closest thing to an update I can find

Whammed by my own doing. Was randomly scrolling through songs playing them without much thought, then I played Last Christmas for a brief second after clicking on it forgetting I was playing this, and after the song started playing I simply went “oh”. Ah well, somehow managed to avoid it last year so was bound to get fucked over in a stupid way

Alma Mahler Gropius Werfel died on this day 59 years ago, aged 85. - Born to a Jewish family in Vienna, Alma was the daughter of noted painter Emil Schindler. - Like her father, Alma would enter the field of arts, albeit in music instead of painting. She made several lieder: - Alma is more famous for her varied celebrity lovers- she dated figures such as Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoscha, and Alexander von Zemlinsky- but only married three people (think of her as the Elizabeth Taylor of early 20th century Europe). - The first one of her marriages was to Das Lied von der Erde composer Gustav Mahler in 1902, having two daughters with him. Their marriage was unhappy due to Gustav forbidding Alma from composing, and the two would seek therapy from Sigmund Freud. - While married to Mahler, Alma began an affair with Bauhaus leader Walter Gropius. Mahler died in 1911, and Alma married Gropius in 1915; he would be away fighting in World War I for most of their marriage, leaving Alma to seek other relations- with the man who soon became her third husband. - Alma divorced Gropius in 1920, and married The Song of Bernadette author Franz Werfel in 1929. The couple fled Austria to France in 1938, then fleeing again to the US in 1940. The two would remain there until their deaths- Franz in 1945, Alma in 1964. - Upon reading her obituary, Tom Lehrer made a waltz about her life:

Having now given it more thought I really really don't like the idea of the bi-generation. For me it breaks a core theme of the show, that being moving on and accepting change. Having any Doctor NOT die at the end of their run makes it so that the show cannot fully move on. I'd also say that the issue is made worse by it being Tennant as I was never a fan of the 'I don't want to go' final line and it now feel like he has got that wish, when I was watching I thought they had fixed the issue by making him accept death this time but by having him alive it undoes that potential arc. I also think it makes The Doctor feel less like one character who changes every few years and instead is multiple different characters. I think it hurts the show more than the impactless Timeless Child.

Michael Wynn Jones. Delia Smith's other half. Co-owner of Norwich City. Aldo been an author, editor and publisher in his own right. No mentions of any illness though he's now in his late 70's / early 80's and smokes like a chimney. Just as an outside bet.
