We've not put him in a gulag and we didn't make him live in an embassy for years, that was his choice to avoid answering unrelated charges in Sweden. Whatever your view on Assange (and there's many) it's a false equivalence.

Fucking Putin!!! This has been coming since the nerve gas attack. He doesn't even try to cover it up any more. Rest in Peace, Alexei.

I'm a major Brian fan and it is a fairly poorly-kept secret that he's been very mentally checked out since 2021 or so. He's always been hit-and-miss live, but the tour he did with Chicago in 2022 was clearly a new low for him; he spent pretty much each show staring blankly into space at his piano and sang/played extremely little. Most of the fandom came away from it thinking he probably had dementia. There are some Reddit threads about his state based on that tour here: https://www.reddit.com/r/thebeachboys/comments/vw5l7m/brian_wilson_elder_abuse/ https://www.reddit.com/r/thebeachboys/comments/vx0hug/requesting_recent_video_proof_from_brian_wilsons/ His daughters have since stopped him from performing, so I believe his latest public appearance was at the Grammys Beach Boys tribute last April. I've corresponded with some people who were also there and they said again he mostly just stared blankly while an assistant occasionally prompted him to wave and react to the show and such. Not really the sign of a well guy. Anyway, given that this article is based on court documents I have no trouble believing it. That being said, I don't necessarily think he's prime deadpooling material, he actually looks much better physically in recent photos than he did in the mid-2010s when he was regularly battling ailments and seemed super frail. But yeah, don't expect him to have too many years left.

    Yeah, Sky has it.

All things considered it's a surprise to me he lived as long as he did.

As I may have mentioned before, I have a t shirt that has these two lines with the (green, naturally) Wombling Free logo beneath them.

Yeah, but - John Curtice was discussing that this morning, a recent poll suggested if there were no Reform candidate over 30% of those voting Reform wouldn't vote Conservative (either UKIP, though they're practically irrelevent now, or wouldn't vote at all). That stat would be enough to nix the hypothetical 77 vote win.

Thanks, fixed it. It was worth a try

Wish I used this logic when I was trying to get booze when I was 17 and 3 months old...

According to his brother it's because he didn't take care of himself and getting fat (bad food, etc.) nothing to do with having a broken heart. https://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/steve-wrights-brother-breaks-silence-32133897

Appeared at Wednesday night's BFI festival. I'm glad I didn't pick him this year.

The Swedish charges against him were dropped, while not a gulag he is being held in Belmarsh, the UK’s harshest prison, in the same wing as Levi Bellfield and the killers of Lee Rigby among others, he is no threat if in prison at all he should be in a low catergory one, although imho he should not be in prison at all Soon he is likely to be extradited to the USA on trumped up charges, he is likely to spend the rest of his life in a SuperMax jail or Guantanamo Bay, all because he exposed the wrongdoings of the elites, he is in every essence of the word a political prisoner

Who doesn't like witnessing a three way scrap featuring Kylie, the boys from Wheatus & dance music nonentities?

Probably sees an increase in the Reform vote and backs Richard Tice to be PM before the year is out.

They won't let him go even this time. His wife's denial is too deep, I guess she is ready to renegotiate a DNR order again.

Kylie was on 18 so should now be on 22.

18,540 Con majority to 6,436 Lab is enormous. Second largest Con-Lab swing since WWII. Reform, Britain First and all the Independents combined amount to 6.2k so it’s a good result for Labour as well as bad for the Tories.

Thank you! Great spot. @theoldlady or whoever next, please add a point to Wheatus.

If tactical voting were in play on both sides: LAB + GRN + LDEM = 13,496 CON + REF + UKIP = 11,382 This NEEDS to be a discussion point!

Kingswood by-election result: LAB gain from CON Labour: 11,176 Conservatives: 8,675 Reform UK: 2,578 Green Party: 1,459 Liberal Democrats: 861 UKIP: 129

He's also been a centenarian for decades if you measure it in dog years

That is a huge result. Overturning an 18,000 Conservative majority at the last election. Neighbouring constituency to mine. First Labour MP in the county since 2015
