4 pointsShit. The two remaining candidates were my least favourites when all the candidates were announced, not that I had a favourite to begin with. Badenoch is a vile, far-right nut and Jenrick is an untrustworthy slimeball. She is completely detestable in my eyes, so I think I'd prefer Jenrick only because he's more likely to get himself involved in a career ending scandal and require them to have to get another new leader. I'd never vote Tory anyway but there isn't even the tiniest glimmer of hope anymore.

3 pointsThe Tory Party is going to be a mess for the entire term i suspect.

3 pointsKaiti Grey in very critical condition again after suffering a massive stroke. 100 with dementia and massive heart problems...

3 pointsWhat are you talking about? He’s spoken about it on many occasions. I saw Tebbit in real life a couple of years ago shortly before he retired from the Lords. He looked like death warmed up. He’s on extra time. 6 months, tops.

3 pointsBreaking story right now about him dropping out of COP29 due to "ongoing cancer treatment". He wouldn't do that lightly and I don't buy it's because of something scheduled well in advance – COP is something close to his heart. As I broke the story on his prognosis at the start of the year and said there's a possibility he may not reach Christmas, I think that can be revised now to say he will probably see 2025, but it doesn't feel like he's going to beat this long-term. I think he should be on the 2025 list.

2 pointsWatched the Brighton Bomb programme on BBC2 tonight. John Gummer was a leading contributor, as was Robin Butler. Conspicuous by his absence was Norman Tebbit, given his personal experiences of the incident. He was only included in archive footage. Did he refuse or was he unable to contribute? The programme was very interesting, by the way.

1 pointIn honour of one of the most unexpected and astonishing performance in DL history, here is a small compilation of post that didn't age well at all : and some gems about him never, ever turning 100 : He can't. He is the embodiement of the sentence « never say never ». Watch him prove me wrong and do a Betty White, Zsa Zsa by dying today…
-
1 pointI've resisted adding him to my list and did so again for this year, but he's for sure going on my 2025 list if he makes it that far. He does look like he's slipping a bit and at this age, it can fall off the proverbial cliff really, really fast. Kind of like Betty White. I thought there were obvious signs of decline in her final 12-18 months, whatever it was.

1 pointWhat's the latest news anyone has heard about him? Wasn't he dying in 2021 and then nothing...
