torbrexbones 717 Posted February 21, 2021 I went out and got drunk after hearing of Lennon's death by gunshot and I had a Bowie night in on hearing of his death but unless it was an unexpected or traumatic death I don't think there is anyone that would trip the switch in the normal run of things. On the plus though, Twitter is absolutely awash with people paying tribute to Sean by sharing their favourite clips of him from stand-up and panel shows. Every single post is a different clip (which just shows he was the best in the business), and every single clip is absolute gold. His legacy is bringing much joy and laughter today.

Deadboy999 176 Posted September 15, 2021 Norm McDonald death today hurts, he's been my favourite comedian for years. I was literally shaking when I saw it break, I only commented on his threat 11 days ago wishing more years to come. Rip old chunk of coal.
Philheybrookbay1 247 Posted September 16, 2021 Personally I have to say Dionne Warwick. Not just because she’s a legend on Twitter which she plays very very well- but she’s also my Dads and mine favourite singer. I know the Bee Gees gave her her biggest hit in the UK Heartbreaker, but it my favourite song of all time. Add in talking about "that Liverpool woman""If I had coughed on 'Anyone Who Had a Heart,' Cilla would have coughed, too," she said. "I never forgave her for that."- 50 years in the business and Dionne held a major dislike of Cilla Black... well placed in my opinion. Betty White is going to be a tough one- the last Golden Girl and I think that’ll be a DVD marathon weekend when she does go. Reminds me off my late Nan so when you think she died in 1988 for Betty still to be standing is some going.

Yes when I did her write up for my work game I caused quite a stir with the vitriol I asked whether she will be remembered as the faux scouse pop Princess or the bastard mother of the worst excesses of reality TV.

Some of his early Lily Savage he ripped seriously into Cilla. Perhaps the free holidays to Barbados changed his mind.
Summer in Transylvania 2,177 Posted July 18, 2022 Some deaths that I hope shall not happen for many, many years yet: - Charlotte Jordan - Definitely one of, if not the, most talented actors on British, and I may dare as to go as far to say World (although, alas, she is not that well-known outside Britain) television. A wee 27 at the moment, here's to hoping she gets to (at least) 127. - Tim Vine - Brilliant comedian. An inspiration of mine. - George Lucas - Because Star Wars. Enough said. - Mark Hamill - See George Lucas. - The entire cast of sitcom Summer in Transylvania - I really hope I have not the need to explain this one. - Charles Garland - A very funny man. Met him once and he kept brilliant company. - Bernard Cribbins - When he goes, so does a somewhat substantial chunk of the childhoods/adolescences of most Britons born in the last 40/50 years. - Dame Penelope Keith - Margo Leadbetter. Audrey fforbes-Hamilton. Need I say more? - James Earl Jones - Come on, folks, he is Darth Vader's voice! - Sir David Jason - Currently rewatching Only Fools and Horses. Pure genius. - Nicholas Lyndhurst - See Sir David Jason. - Sir David Attenborough - A great man doing all he can for the good of the planet when so many others leave it to be tidied up by those that follow behind. - Ankush Khanna - What a great guy. What a bloody great guy. - Soman Chainani - The greatest author of all time. No arguments.
La Tombe 354 Posted November 5, 2023 When it will be Brigitte Bardot to go…Regardless of her political convictions or what she has said over the past 5 years as retiree person, she was and still be a cinema and model icon for generations in France and in the world. Her name continues to live on. What French cinema icon is more famous worldwide than her ? ….None ! I will be heartbroken when she will pass.
