He was really only known for his role in Batman, and not a great deal else. John Hurt was a bigger death for me, not just that he was a very versatile actor and known for many roles, but also that I'd seen him on stage years ago. But most certainly R.I.P. Dead Wait 1,096 Posted June 12, 2017 For those who can stomach either of the Carrs there were 2 programmes on at the end of the year I thought I found quite useful. Jimmy Carr presents Big Fat Quiz of the Year and Alan Carr presented 12 days of Christmas (or something). Both programmes have celebrities posing quiz questions to a panel of younger comics. I've really got to stop using it as a measure of things to come. Last December Roger Moore AND Adam West were both question posers and looking at their general demeanour I decided they had years in them - very wrong on both counts. On the same topic, about 3 or 4 years ago I saw Jim Bowen (post stroke) posing questions and really believed he wouldn't make February let alone the rest of the following year - again, very wrong!
