Other than that: pandering to Farage leading to Brexit chaos, woeful pandemic planning (and partying in Downing Street), lying to Scotland to barely win an independence referendum, crumbling schools, crime through the roof, prisons heaving, immigration through the roof (even though they have more control over the rules than ever before), the Windrush Scandal and hostile environment, culture wars, war in Europe, a bonkers Rwanda scheme, failing to stop the boats, illegally proroguing Parliament, crashing the economy in 49 days, 57 ministers resigning from office because you remain in charge, Parliament rejecting your Brexit deal 3 times over, more than £14 billion in real terms spending cuts made permanent between 2010 and 2013. You've got it much much worse, imo. I see neither as the answer, but sticking with the party that brought you Partygate, tractor porn, COVID fraud, sewage filled rivers and beaches, leaking schools and hospitals, closure of local public services, Afghan betrayal (save the animals first!), NI discontent, housing shortages, high inflation and legal immigration - need I go on? I understand why Starmer is a disappointment to staunch socialists like yourself. But the reality is that he is mostly doing the right things. At this point, all he has to do to get elected is a. Not be the Tories b. Not say or do anything that will frighten the middle class voters who decide elections. You may well prefer a more left-wing Corbyn type leader. But the British public don't, and any time they have been offered that in the past, they have completely rejected it. So if Starmer has any sense (and it seems like he does), then he will play it bland, and give the Conservatives nothing to attack him with. That will be enough to romp home with a large majority. Need to remove the audience and focus on 3 policy areas, or if you want to focus on 5-6 needs to be at least 1h30-2h, but nobody honestly wants that. Did Starmer actually give a direct answer? Besides confirming that given a choice he’d choose for his family to die. He was given plenty of opportunities to reject the £2000 additional tax assertion, and only at the 16th time of asking did he tiptoe around the edges to say it wasn’t the case.
