The frail 79-year-old is said to have "nothing left to live for" after Justice Secretary Jack Straw turned down his application. His son Michael wept as he told The Sun: "Doctors have just told me my dad is in a life-threatening condition. "He has taken a turn for the worse after being given the news about his parole being turned down. "My dad has got nothing left to live for. He is dying."
