gcreptile 10,967 Posted October 6, 2015 Legendary german striker Gerd Müller has Alzheimer's: http://www.spiegel.de/panorama/leute/gerd-mueller-fussball-legende-leidet-an-alzheimer-a-1056519.html(link in german) This fact has been hidden from the public for years, apparently. The media knew. The approach of his 70th birthday next month (and Müller's absence from the celebration) might have caused them to make it public. Since February 2015 he has been receiving 'professional care with heavy support from his family'. His doctor also says that Bayern Munich has integrated him 'despite obvious indications of his ailment' for several years. Whatever that means... So the illness has been progressing for years.

Imelda 621 Posted October 17, 2015 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34560155 Former Everton manager Howard Kendall dies, aged 69 I recall that one of the old Championship Manager series (may have been 97/98) had a bug whereby Bobby Gould was sacked as Wales manager in the first week, and Howard Kendall would always be appointed. The game then seemed to completely forget about this as the seasons passed, with Howard always toiling away regardless of results, or finishing bottom of a qualifying group. In an epic game my mate played, HK's finest hour came when he led them to World Cup glory. In the same game Man United were relegated to the Conference under the leadership of Gary Neville, whilst Hull and Carlisle became European superpowers. Maybe one day...
