Watched BBC Breakfast and saw the veteran hack Ann Leslie. Fuck me she's put on a lot of weight! Huge she was. Looked younger though...

Any of our journo friends heard anything about Ann Leslie?

Dirty rumour going around...

I presume she drowned in a vat of her own bile.

Anyhow, @Death Impends Ann Leslie another for the List of the Missed, picked last year: https://www.derbydeadpool.co.uk/deadpool2022/celebs_L.html#leslia

And a reminder to @Gooseberry Crumble, that's another of your dropped picks picking up a scything this year. Have you thought maybe keeping your survivors or at least some of them? That's a fair few misses now. :sherlock:

I was trying to go for as many uniques as possible  so I assumed  someone else would pick her this year thwarting  my ability to get a unique pick out of Ann Leslie!

I think I have picked her in another pool but will check now!

Yes I has chosen Ann Leslie  in the Shadow deathlist pool.

That's really sad he was a great critic, saw him recently on the Sky Arts series about Film Noir and must admit he did not look too good.

Yeah he looked very frail at Christmas talking about Jimmy Stewart iirc. One of Sky's better talking head experts on their various documentaries this decade.

For me, the ultimate "thought he died years ago" person. Almost Mandela Effect-esque in my continual refusal to accept that he was alive, even when he popped up on countless docs about film!

I’m loathed to put this in the ‘Journalists’ thread but if there’s a more suitable thread please move this.

GBeebies presenter and right wing columnist Dan Wootton has been unmasked as a serial catfisher, bribing scores of men (many of whom are heterosexual and/or colleagues) for sexually explicit and compromising material under a false identity.

He’s not been on his nightly GBeebies show for a couple of weeks.

Why do people pronounce his name Woooo-ton?  Wootton crops up quite a lot in place names (eg Wootton Bassett) and it's pronounced with a short 'oo' , as in wool.

Just something that always grates on me a bit.

He was on his show last night, apparently. Byline Times deliberately launched the article just after his show started.

People from the South of England doooo this to my surname as well, so thanks for drawing wider attention to this issue.

Flags to be flown at half mast on the Arc de Triomphe... or not because if you did they'd be looted within an hour or two.
