gcreptile 10,964 Posted August 8, 2017 Adios.... Got it right on the "8th death of 2017" thread. 2nd hit after Sam Simon (not that hard). So this one is the first that actually counts for something...

gcreptile 10,964 Posted August 8, 2017 I was listening to a couple of his tracks last week. Not bad... Can't really call it good either, because Country is just not my music, so I was actually impressed that I somewhat enjoyed it.

Joey Russ 7,220 Posted August 8, 2017 I got to say, I'm not the biggest country fan by any means, but Campbell, along with Johnny Cash were by far the best country singers.

Zsa Zsa's leg 884 Posted August 8, 2017 Very shocked. Thought he would last a little bit longer. Maybe it was wishful thinking for 2018.
The Dead Cow 620 Posted August 8, 2017 An absolute legend, I'll keep him ever gentle on my mind. RIP Glen. Oh, and here's the BBC obit.
Toast 16,129 Posted August 8, 2017 I did like his songs, although I never bought any of his records. It was not cool to like him when I was at school. A girl in my class was a fan and she was very gratified when I owned up to liking him. I remember accompanying her on a clandestine trip to a record shop in town where she bought his latest single. Can't remember which one that was now.
