IsoltSayre 3 Posted January 1, 2017 As a novice at this, I've sent in two teams but am yet to receive a confirmation (one on the 30th December) NZT. Just checking it's all legit and also making sure I haven't fucked up somewhere along the path. Might send in a third team for larks. I sent my team in just prior to Christmas and got my confirmation New Year's Eve if that's a help. Plus before I got my confirmation he said he had processed 200 teams. Fair play to the guy, I couldn't do his job.

Sir Creep 7,070 Posted January 1, 2017 Well I've sent mine in. I look forward as always to finding out who is actually completely fine and who managed to evade my search terms. And that leaving off a certain hit for someone worth potentially a few more points is probably a poor idea... Haha I love that 'completely evaded my search terms' that's how I feel, I wonder how they were located. I still have zero idea how anyone searches gofundme or Twitter etc looking for someone mentioning 'dying' or 'stage 4' or whatever. But it must be possible. Death Impends 7,953 Posted January 1, 2017 As mentioned in chat, I figured Rayya Elias would be the 2017 Bob Benmosche. The lock who evades public mention, but you know will be on a fair few contender's lists.

gcreptile 10,963 Posted January 1, 2017 And the two solutions to my allusions: The person I had inside knowledge of, about his cancer fight going well but who I expected to be picked by quite a few deadpoolers was.... Charles Bradley. But stomach cancer is tricky, we'll see... The person I wasn't sure if he's unique, because his age was a little high and who was a member of a one-hit-wonder group was Gary De Carlo. I pushed him to my second team. He looks like a DQSP pick, and the 7 base points were too few.

msc 18,436 Posted January 1, 2017 Michael Perham should have shown up in one of my research tags ("bishop, cancer") so that's a schoolboy error of sorts. Like last year, Spade has 3 people I didn't think were ill enough. In 2016, all three of them subsequently died.
