Ulitzer95 12,842 Posted August 5, 2021 On The One Show this evening. Sounds good, looks okay... he's taking part in a new "Parkinson at 50" programme with the BBC. Think he has a couple of years left in him yet.

I wonder who'll go first out of Parky and Billy Connolly (another favourite guest)?

Well one of them was an alcoholic with liver failure and the other two have/had Parkinson's disease, so given that MP's only major complaint was prostate cancer (which seems to be cured/under control), I wouldn't be surprised if he outlives Connolly too.

Not so most of the guests, sadly.
Paul Bearer 6,130 Posted August 28, 2021 Watching Parkinson at 50. Holy shit he's aged.
msc 18,534 Posted September 10, 2021 All this talk of him being aged now, here's an actual pic from the documentary. I mean, yes, he has aged, and his voice is weaker than it once was, but that's by Parkinson's standards. By someone being 88 86 years old in general, he's not doing too bad...

YoungWillz 21,178 Posted September 10, 2021 He has the haunted look of a man who has reviewed his career before the obituary. Just my opinion of course. He's made my main team for next year, and screw the uniques.

He is 87 FFS! How do you expect him to look? As an aside, has Diego liked all of your posts? It may well be the only time anybody has.

He looks better than he has for the last 2 _3 years :. He is looking quite old which he is but still sharp and isn't looking any thinner older of frailer than before if anything he looks less frail than he did in 2020.

The Daredevil 1,193 Posted January 1, 2023 Does anyone have any idea why Parkinson was selected by the Committee for this year’s DeathList? Sure a bit frail, but he could easily make 90. There were so so many other possibilities that would have been more worth his position (Field, Alagiah, Flack, Napolitano, Caine, Spencer, Irwin, Vialli especially). Does anyone here support Parkinson’s inclusion on the 2023 DL?

Does anyone here support Parkinson’s inclusion on the 2023 DL? I actually think it's a fair pick given he has experienced a few serious health scares the last five years. I do agree that George Alagiah and Frank Field should be on the list. I would have swapped out Duvall and Marianne Faithful.
