I would like to share a personal experience with you all about drinking and driving after a "social event" with friends. Last night, I was out at a party. I had a few cocktails & shots followed by several pints. Despite my merriness, I still had the sense to know that I was over the limit. That's when I decided to do what I have never done before: I took a taxi home. Sure enough, there was a police road block on the high street but, since I was in a taxi, they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident. This was both a great relief and surprise because I had never driven a taxi before. I don't even know where I got it from and now that it's outside my house, I don't know what to do with it.

I've probably mentioned it before but I don't care but two of the more unusual deaths in Britain occurred on this date in 1978, Janet Parker from a smallpox outbreak and Georgi Markov assassinated by an umbrella.

People who have lost all hope in life don't give a shit what they wear. That's another fact.

Before we were married my wife used to work in a small village pharmacy. She had a lot of elderly couples as customers and as a general rule she said if the wife went first the husband would follow pretty soon but not always the other way round.

Ian Brady... only because, ya know... but that's against DP rules anyway.

If it's a good precedent to go by, John Wetton did that quite a few times before he died - stopped tweeting when in hospital receiving treatment for a few weeks, then started again when able to do so. His last tweet was 17 days before his death. There's another big DDP name who has been conspicuous by their social media absence, I noted the other day, but, I've completely forgotten who it was now. Magill? The Queen - FFS, Donald Trump is lording it over her in cyberspace I'm pretty sure the Queen is on Twitter. I used to follow her, along with Diana In Heaven. Yes, here she is https://twitter.com/Queen_UK?lang=en-gb Elizabeth Windsor @Queen_UK

He was named Canadian newsmaker of the year, and that article refers to a public appearance in early December. But yeah, slowing down considerably, given he was out campaigning etc in October. He was at an event being honoured by some indigenous Canadian`s for advocating for their rights. He looked very thin and couldn`t stop crying.I know it was a emotionally charged ceremony but it looked like uncontrollable crying. Well I'd be crying uncontrollably for a group if they were conquered by Canadians.
