Two slices of Toast? Don't mind if I do.... How's that going to work for you, though? He gives you a team and it's open for snaffles...though I believe Toast is an honourable person.

This is a great obit to get a sense of who Michael Brooks was

2020 now at 10/40 with Lynn and Lewis's deaths. Vera Lynn was Deathlist's 100 DDP hit! Judy Dyble has put Maryport on 99. Going Underground had John Lewis so 98. Getting close there.

Jasper de Havilland about to crash into a ban?

Yeah, music biz is full of spiteful people determined to live! Ranking Roger was pure speculation - extremely ill about June or July the previous year, but his condition didn't escalate to possible and then ultimate terminal status until the year I picked him.

0/5 Grammy Winners dead thus far for @YoungWillz and 1/5 #1 Hit Artists dead (that one after the game had finished). #justsayin Still, if you can't be optimistic before the game has started when can you be? Good luck, Willz, maybe it's your time!

It would be no fun at all to steal his picks. I doubt he'll get round to it anyway, just thought I'd ask in case.

Well, music is one area Willz is quite good at sniffing out possibles. He got ahead of everyone else on the Ranking Rogers ill health news before anyone else.

Charles Clark has got serious religion, from what I can see. He's probably just hanging out with the queue for "heaven".

Alright, finished digging. So managed to get Ralph Mitchell's DOB from the residency you gave, cheers! He appears to be the baby of the group at just 22 when they released Float on! Charles Clark – I got his birthday from that second FB page when I researched him a few weeks back as he was a member of C.J. & Co. I have tried everything and yet I can't return a certain year but I just came across a yearbook photo of him from 1966 on Ancestry and it says he's 16 in it. Doesn't say what month the yearbook was published so I've put c. 1950. Looking at his FB pics he's looking good for his age, seems to share a lot of stuff about centenarians/supercentenarians too. Wonder if he browses DL...

I have a friend who is interested in this game, but he isn't registered on the forum and wouldn't do it as he has a phobia about signing up to things on the internet. Would it be permissible to submit his team by proxy in the (unlikely) event that he gets one together?

Eurovision and Bond were easy, FIFA some usual suspects, Nobel's more a shot in the dark. The Wiki list for space flyers - dropped a pin in 5 plus one sub! Took 2 and a half hours. Now they just need to survive for 6 weeks - I'll bet I lose a few, though that's why I'm confident - when I pick them it's generally a gift of immortality.

Either they were favourable categories or you didn't put much effort in!

Hmmm (again) - there used to be a good Fred West joke that went around the gist being the police find evidence under the patio and ask him how many he has down there. Fred says "two" and the cops come back later and say "we found half a dozen bodies..." At which point Fred says; "I'm a builder, it was only an estimate!"

Took OSP JR out last night to look for Comet NEOWISE as it was the first clear night in ages. We managed to see it after 11.30 at about 5 o'clock from the big dipper/plough half way between it and the horizon. Around midnight I could see it out of the corner of my eye as a bright smudgy line. We got a great view of Juipter and it's Galilean moons, Saturns rings and a very bright pass of the ISS! Try getting a 7 yearold to sleep after all that!!!

Two JFK conspiracy theorists die and go to heaven. They finally ask God to once and for all settle for them who it was that killed JFK. God sighs and patiently and lovingly admonishes them, "You've spent so much of your lives chasing after this conspiracy. You've sacrificed time with your families, allowed yourselves to be overcome by paranoia. You've wasted so much of the time and energy that I gave you. Oswald killed Kennedy. He was acting on his own and all of the evidence you needed to satisfy yourselves of that was there the whole time, if only you had looked with open hearts and minds." The one conspiracy theorist turns to the other and whispers, "This goes higher than we thought."

Agreed with the others, she does not really have the legs for her own thread. Foreign Personalities shall suffice for all the riveting Gloria Menezes conversation you might desire, and so that is where it shall be.
