2 pointsThe statement "being A French politician they he she it was skilled in the art of surrender." perpetuates a negative stereotype of the French, which is racist.
-
2 pointsPresumably it wouldn't? The people who'd pay for a super league would want Barcelona v Man U every year, they wouldn't give a toss about Wolves or Newcastle or whoever.

2 pointsI still think he can make it 5+ more months to see 2021, but things can deteriorate rather quickly. I hope he can return to host Jeopardy for one more run of tapings before he falls too ill.

2 pointshttps://people.com/health/alex-trebek-clarifies-would-not-stop-all-treatment-if-current-cancer-regimen-fails/ Clarifies a statement he made regarding his treatment. When he said he would stop treatment, he meant his "experimental" treatment, not treatment all together - he would go back to chemotherapy if it doesn't work.

2 pointsand with the full capacity of the web at your disposal, you decided to advertise your ignorance and racism rather than do some minimal research. Fuck off.

1 pointIt's great - minimising the missing now we are a bit more au fait with the searching! Anyway, I believe that's bedtime!

1 pointCheers! I never think to check IMDb because it normally just has blanks for many musicians. According to Ancestry, both Szabo and Snyder hailed from (or at least lived in) San Diego. Szabo's DOB from IMDb checks out. Snyder's doesn't. I've found records in San Diego of him and Jackie and they give his birth as c. 1942. Updated.

1 pointGRO: Marriages: October 1967 CAMPBELL, LORNA + CLARK, BRIAN N. BIRMINGHAM Scotland's People (which doesn't supply mother's maiden name on certificates after a certain date, so it's guess work): 4x Lorna Campbell born in Aberdeen (1939, 1942, 1945, 1948). 1939 is the most likely but I suppose it could be 1942, at a push 1945? Ancestry: Nothing. Bar the repeated marriage certificate from above. Can't find her in any electoral rolls/census records. There is a Lorna M Campbell who married a Steven R Clark in Birmingham in 1982. Did she relocate to Birmingham permanently? Regardless, doesn't provide anymore information. Any ideas?

1 pointA quick list of old Chinese politicos, one of the hardest thing to kill in this world. 1)Song Ping (1917): political leader of Gansu who rose to the Organization Department in the 80s. He was the one responsible for ending the careers of those who opposed Tien An Men repression. Due to his excellent work (and profound hatred for Zhao Zhiyang) he was promoted to the Politburo after the massacre. Considered very close to Hu JIntao. Widowed since last year. 2)Wan Haifeng (1920): one of the last founding fathers of PRC and commander of volounteers during the Korea war. Widowed since last year, increasingly frail, will be awarded a big honour later this year for his Korea service. 3)Zou Yu (1920): minister of Justice, he was hospitalized in a serious condition in 2017, but got discharged and made appearances as late as last September. Also known because his granddaughter is fine. 4)Zheng Tuobin (1924): former Minister of Trade whose retirement benefits are incredibly high. 5)Lin Jiamei (1924): wife of Li Xiannan and former First Lady. Was incredibly frail already in 2015. 6)He Jingzhi (1924): minister of Culture and famous writer. 7)Ren Jianxin (1925): president of the Supreme Court and successor of Zou Yu as Minister of Justice. Not heard so much nowadays. 8)Wang Hanbin (1925): old cadre behind the HK Basic Laws. Seen on a wheelchair back in 2016. 9)Wang Binqian (1925): former minister of Finance, living in an apartment paid by the government. 10)Jiang Zemin (1926): the human face of Chinese regime who would rise atop of the system from his Shangai political position and brought with him the infamous clique. Famous for his funny outburst and for looking like a toad, suffered a severe heart attack in 2012 and was longtime rumored dead. Doing well. 11)Zou Jiahua (1926): vice premier and Politburo member. 12)Qi Xin (1926): mother of Winnie the Pooh. 13)Wang Yeping (1928): missus of Jiang Zemin. Old but well and frequently appears in public. 14)Zhu Rongji (1928): progressist PM who believed in human rights. Recently made the headlines as he did not take part to the 70th PRC anniversary to protest against what is happening in Hong Kong. 15)Tian Jiyun (1929): former Vice-premier, rival of Jiang Zemin and protected by Zhao Zhiyang. Last appearance in 2018, but was fine. Considered a progressist who always poke fun at the hardliners. 16)Chi Haotian (1929): former Minister of Defence who was physically responsible of Tien An Men repression and showed great brutality. Somehow, still regarded as a national hero. 17)Hu Qili (1929): he paid his support to Tien An Men protest with his political career. Still, as a Politburo member, he opposed the martial law. Gravely ill in 2018, now bedridden and was visited last January by the Paramount Leader. 18)Peng Peiyun (1929): Wang Hanbin wife and Tibet human rights criminal 19)Lao An (1929): wife of Zhu Rongji 20)Han Zhijun (1930): widow of Hua Guofeng and never appears in public, as she didn't even when he was in power. 21)Yan Mingfu (1931): one of the very few high-ranking cadres who opposed martial law at Tien An Men and paid with his career (thanks, mr. Song). Suffering from a "long-term" illness which forces him on a wheelchair. 22)Song Jian (1931): legendary aerospace engineer and former minister of science. 23)Li Lanqing (1932): close friend of Li Ruihuan and former Vice-premier who focused on national education and steered clear from controversy. 24)Zhu Lin (1933): widow of Bejing butcher Li Peng. 25)Li Ruihuan (1934): definitely the good guy who had a direct contact with the people, even holding a radio broadcast in which he answered questions. Always seen as a moderate among hardliners. 26)Liu Zhongli (1934): former minister of Finance. 27)Wang Meng (1934): minister of Culture and famous writer 28)Luo Gan (1935): Jiang's main henchman, reportedly in failing health in 2021. 29)Cao Gangchuan (1935): minister of Defense, who was a relief after Chi Haotian. 30)Tang Jiaxuan (1938): former foreign minister.

1 pointHow right is alt right? Because my definition of alt right is Richard Spencer but someone elses opinion of alt right could be someone who says stuff like #AllLivesMatter or #Trump2020 - which in my eyes is just plain right wing. Reason I ask is that I have said some things that some of the purple haired ones would call 'alt right' (namely when I suggested the possibility of Michelle Obama being a man) and some people got very upset to the point of ganging up on me.

1 pointIn the most unbiased explanation I can offer: You've made a few dumb posts, ngl. Everyone here does their research, you make a mistake, just say 'my bad' and do your research next time and 9/10 all is forgiven. And tbh I agree that there are some smug dickholes in this group that like to start beef for the smallest reason which usually ends up escalated way out of proportion - especially if you break the liberal safe space here with an opposing opinion - diversity of opinion is frowned upon here by some of the heavier posters here. At the same time I've met decent people on here too, you have simply gotta have the patience for them to get to understand you better and that you're not just a troll or whathaveyou... You wanna see a change to Deathlist then you've gotta make it yourself. At the end of the day, this forum isnt just for smug assholes but its for everyone who likes deadpooling.

1 pointQuite right. There is no doubt there are some very nasty people on here. There's hardly a day goes by I don't wonder if I should waste any more time on here but I don't want to give them the satisfaction of scaring me off. Please stick around to piss them off !
