How many centenarian actors, who were on our radar have died since the start of the year then? A quick Wiki search working back to Jan: Gianrico Tedeschi, Olivia de Havilland, Amala Shankar, Earl Cameron, Pappukutty Bhagavathar, Susanna Ramel, Armando Francioli, Ida Schuster, Lois Kelly Miller, Zoe Dell Nutter, Suzy Delair, Diana Serra Cary and Kirk Douglas. Vera Lynn and Tao Porchon-Lynch too, even though they weren't known for their acting, and it was also discovered that Doris Merrick and Jeanne Manet had died before the start of the year. So who does that leave? On my radar (not including any barely notables who don't have an English Wiki page): Renee Simonot, Don Marion Davis, Mary Ward, Marsha Hunt, Norman Lloyd, Caren Marsh Doll, Anne Buydens, Betty Brodel, Marge Champion, Nehemiah Persoff, Orlando Drummond, Arnold Yarrow, Guido Gorgatti, Witold Sadowy, June Spencer and Diana Maggi. Also Silas Hathaway and Elisabeth Waldo if they haven't died off radar as rumoured. Adriana Sivieri could be alive but it's looking unlikely now. Only Maggi, Sadowy and Yarrow became centenarians this year. So as many centenarian actors have gone this year as there are now still alive. That's pretty excessive, and there's still 5 whole months of the year left!

Deffo agree with those saying the big headliner hasn't gone yet. Prince Phil or Jimmy Carter are probably top of the tree on that score. Although there's a host of high profile musicians who aren't getting any younger as well. I think so far this year - at least UK wise - it's quiet hard to pin down the headline death out of those who've already. Jack Charlton, Vera Lynn, Olivia de Haviland all feel like they would have headlined any other year in the past. Honestly not sure who I'd give it to out of that lot, probably Vera Lynn?

Anyways... Just a week later - another major death in Denmark. This time, it is pianist/composer, Bent Fabricus-Bjerre, who has passed away, aged 95. Best known for his iconic intro tunes for the greatest TV series, Matador, and movie series, Olsen Banden, in Denmark. He also won a grammy in 1962 with the single "Alley Cat". Hit #2 on my list.

Obscure, but I think best suited to this thread: Core member of Frank Zappa's onetime experimental girl group The GTOS, Miss Mercy Peters, has passed away according to social media posts from her friends.

The husband of the Queens favourite cousin Princess Alexandra, Sir Angus Ogilvy died in 2004 . He was the husband of a royal and was certainly regarded as family by the Queen. But whether that is technically a royal death I don't know . But the Queens much loved Aunt HRH Alice the dowager duchess of Gloucester died in 2004 also aged near 103. So whilst not a big royal death like more senior or prominent members like the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret Alices passing was definitely a royal deathdeath-Row the last one was 2004 not 2002. I think the royal death most likely to happen this year is Prince Philip but it is worth keeping an eye on some of the Queens cousins and their spouses. 83 year old Princess Alexandra who had a fall last year and the stroke survivor the Duke of Kent and his wife the Duchess of Kent who is 87 ,frail looking and has a history of health issues.

Surely someone would've noticed the transition between the two? This reminds me of the case of Jeanne Calment (oldest person ever) where they thought that the case of the 122 year old was fraudulent - that Jeanne Calment's identity was assumed by her daughter. Again this was dismissed due to the transition between mother and daughter being obvious to those who knew Jeanne.

I do think Peter Sutcliffe will die later this year. The person in 50th has died everytime since 2017.

Feel like Eva Marie Saint, providing she's still breathing in 2021, is due a call up for the DL first 50...
