Former schools commissioner in the Blair administration who later went on to run the E-ACT academy chain (before being forced out after financial mismanagement on a massive scale was uncovered), Sir Bruce Liddington dead at 70. He was also my former headteacher and personally suspended me twice.

Whilst I have no negative health news to report I note that Jack Higgins books are fucking awesome.

Whilst I have no negative health news to report I note that Jack Higgins the prolific author is now 91 and hasn't published a book since May 2017 - until then he was producing about 2 a year. I'd rather DL missed with Jack Higgins than hit with Sir Lord Captain Sergeant Lieutenant Tom 'I walked round the garden on my zimmer' - the committee need to reimpose some standards into their 50 picks. 'Candidates must be famous enough such that their death is expected to be reported by the UK media; Candidates cannot be famous solely for the fact they are likely to die imminently' Tom spent 99.75 years of his life failing the first test and only passes the second because when he started walking round his garden he was likely to die imminently.
