Watching bbc4 ATM. I remember as a kid watching her show on the tellybox in the 60's/70's. Born 1934, aged 85 now. Might be worth a punt?

Colonel John Waddy (wiki), British Army officer, World War II veteran, POW who would go on to become director of the SAS and a writer, dead at 100 according to this museum page on Facebook.

Occasionally I check up on her. She's a huge star internationally. She seems to be doing okay for now. But she could be on the list in 1-2 years.

Imagine how huge it’d be if she died twice

The four top Twitter trends at the moment, as a result of it being brought to light that Trump has seen 10-figure losses and, tax-wise, despite being a “billionaire”, paid less than half what I pay every month in the years 2016 and 17, and nothing for 10 years of the last 15. I’m going out on a limb here, but a) Trump will be quite biblically wound up by the #TrumpIsBroke hashtag, and b) This whole thing is unlikely to serve him well voter-wise. Has Biden released his tax returns at all, do we know?

That would make a change. Normally the entire squad has been filed under 'for later'

I love how it's been nearly seventeen years since this person started the thread. Philip has looked frail for the last thirty years and in an interview from the mid-1990s, when asked about living to 100, answered "bits and pieces are already falling off me" At this point I'm starting to like him because he was always different. No idea what's his diagnosis but he's someone I like to hear from, causing gaffes and behaving weirdly everywhere he goes. Or then he's just a relic from times when jokes used to be like that.

This ain’t a scavenger hunt pool. It’s a list of names on the Reaper’s to do list.

I always confused her and Stella Stevens, maybe, back in their younger days, they were similar looking. I just looked up Stella Stevens and, apparently, she is in a nursing home with alzheimer's. If that info is elsewhere on here then so be it.

If this were everbody's wake up song, the world would be a better place: By the way, Nana will turn 86 on October 13. She is still very well known and respected in Germany and if she dies once it will be big in the News.

You got there first. I will replace Betty with Ruth Bidgood

She's been on my list, for a few years, now.

No, it would just arouse him.

There are many former spouses of famous actors still alive but not all are as well-known as others. Peter Gilmore (1931-2013) who played Captain James Onedin in all 91 episodes of The Onedin Line has all 3 former spouses still sailing serenely above ground. They are Jan Walters (b 1937), Una Stubbs (b 1937) & Anne Stallybrass (b1938). The latter played his wife in the show & they lived in Dartmouth where many of the location scenes were filmed in a house named "Charlotte Rhodes) which was the name of Onedin's ship in the series. Strangely she was killed off in the show in the early years of the series & the second wife was played by Jill Gascoigne who died a few months ago. John Thaw (1942-2002) (Morse, Mister Tom, Jack Regan etc) has both of his former spouses still alive. They are Sally Alexander (b 1943) & Sheila Hancock (b 1933). Jon Pertwee (1919-1996) (Dr Who, Worzel Gummage etc) also has both former wives alive. They are Jean Marsh (b 1936) & Ingeborg Rhoesa (b 1937).

Former German economic minister and provincial governor Wolfgang Clement has died at 80 of lung cancer. It was a cancer recurrence that appeared just last month: https://www.spiegel.de/politik/deutschland/wolfgang-clement-ist-tot-a-2b5ce45c-82a4-4d70-9902-6993c4abffb7

It might be a tad hypocritical, but then David Attenborough is beloved in that very rare way that he could probably fart on the Queen and people would defend him. It's the Johnny Cash/Jane Fonda scale again. Johnny Cash spoke out against the Vietnam War, he was a much loved public figure so got leeway with any hypocritical elements in that. Jane Fonda wasn't, so didn't. David Attenborough is a much loved public figure so he gets leeway with any hypocritical elements in his public speaking. Jeremy Corbyn was widely seen as a cunt, so doesn't. Simple.

You very obviously don’t. A dope is what you call someone who gets something a little bit muddled up, or trips over their own shadow or something clumsy like that. Trump is a sociopathic, solipsistic, perverted, misogynistic, racist, treacherous, precarious, imbecilic serial liar.
