2 pointsBut why have a thread for all? If Lionel Blair gets the vaccine and looks rough you report it in his own thread. No need to have a general one.

2 pointsCongratulations to @Toast who gets her fifth hit with Jeremy Bulloch it is a unique but more importantly it is a fourth hit in a single category placing Robbie Coltrane's substantial frame between her and victory. The game has not yet been running four months.

1 pointIn the James Bond category we have had the two big hits already. There are three picks remaining with four selections (as Geoffrey Palmer had). They are David de Keyser Yaphet Kotto Andre Maranne In FIFA Nobby was the big pick but Too Song Chul has 8 picks and Jimmy Greaves 7 Another Jimmy is the big pick in Nobel prize category Jimmy Carter with 9 Frank Borman leads the space fliers also with 9 but there are no hits in this category yet. For Eurovision ONJ unsurprisingly leads with 9 but Niels Olsen has 8.

1 pointUpdated entry for the death of Algerian-French novelty singer Alberto Staiffi (real name Albert Darmon). Died off radar in February. When I compiled this list originally I knew he was alive as late as 2018 and in his 90s as per his own site. It said he was living in Montpellier. That death notice is definitely him – says the individual was born in Algeria, and died in Sète, which is in Montpellier. There are also RIP comments on YouTube but surprisingly, no French obit.

1 pointI’ve no idea, I’ve always been shit at working out who the fakes are on here - even so, it was still a cracker

1 pointI like sending cards but I am very particular about the picture on them and I spend quite a bit of time deciding who gets what card. Sadly most of the ones I receive are bland and non-descript, and many clearly tossed into a supermarket trolley without a glance or a thought. This is still one of my all-time favourites, received from a cousin.

1 pointWhen he was 47, then Tbh I'm not amongst those thinking him a bad pick. The man's alcohol intake has ravaged his body and mental faculties. We're clearly in George Best territory in terms of the accumulation of damage and he's blatantly an alcoholic with little evidence he can bring the sickness under complete control. John Martyn - similar in that he pretty much created his own persona and spent most of his public life in denial about the real nature of his background - didn't see his 61st birthday. Shane's 63 on Christmas Day. John Martyn - aged about 25 John Martyn - last tour

1 pointTwo notable names on my radar joining the 100 club today: Eddie Robinson (wiki), oldest living Major League Baseball player and last survivor of the 1943 Navy World Series. Peter Lloyd OBE (wiki), Australian aviator. Both WWII vets, and both borderline chances of QOs I reckon. Edit: Both dead now.

1 pointSo three HPDPs in a row we have had a jackpot hit - ie a pick where their base value is high enough, and their bonuses accumulative enough, where that one hit nets 100+ points. 2018 saw Dead Cow secure a runaway win off the freak death of Vanessa Marquez - 225 points. In 2019, LFN took an early lead off Carol Channing's death, whose uniqueness and resume led to 153 points, though he did not ultimately win. And we've had that yet again, with the exact same bonuses as Channing's. Yep, Barbara Windsor has died, and only Toast picked her. She had a long career in panto, and made 19 appearances on Celebrity Squares. All in all this means that the base 40 points have 96 extra bonus points attached, meaning the total haul is a hefty 136. And so we have a huge game changer. Toast takes the lead off the jackpot hit with three weeks remaining. But it is not a done deal. Yorkshire can claw back the lead with any of his survivors (two of whom are centenarians), who all are worth at least 30 points. And for all we know, there could be another jackpot lurking in the shadows - after all, I didn't twig until tonight that Windsor alone could take Toast to the top. 1. Toast 354 2.
