4 pointsThe 20/20 game has been a fascinating source of fun and frustration in equal measure but no the first year will all be dwindling Centarians by the end of 2020. @Sean has given his blessing to the continuation of this game in whatever form and we thank him for his initial great idea. This new version will just last one year and from my point of view is relatively low maintenance. Basically the aim of the game is to pick 20 candidates from the years 1921-1930.You need 2 from each year and you must have one male and one female from each year.Candidates only qualify if they have a national news article about their death in English and or an obituary. The game does not start until 1 January 2020 (UK Time Zone) and no teams can be posted before this time and will continue until the end of the year. As soon as one candidate from anyone`s list dies the pool will be immediately restarted and it is first come first serve. You can even be a bitch and steal someone`s entire list if you wish. It is a competitive game. The overall winner will be the person with most hits in the year. The pool restarts as soon as a link from the the qualifying Obituary is posted verifying age of the deceased (by their own standard). No two players can have duplicate picks and the age given in the article will be accepted as soon as the article is published and pasted to this site.It has to be decisive at the time the news breaks. If the age they give is different to the year of birth you don`t get a hit unless it is amended before another death that meets the criteria of a hit. There is no limit to the number of players and you can enter the round at any point. You may even miss some rounds if they are quick. You do not need an admin to confirm your pick if you have a QO to post your next round team but you may be challenged if it in any way suspect.

3 pointsI've been looking at them over the last month or so as they became gradually closer to each other. I didn't get to see them at their closest on the 21st due to cloud cover but I did get to see them through my telescope on the 20th when they were marginally further apart.

2 pointsSounds like she needs full time care and to be fed and washed now. Shame, great actress. Between her career, Playdays, being the Thompson matriarch and her role in the Magic Roundabout, hell of a CV too.

2 points87 today https://www.japantimes.co.jp/news/2020/12/23/national/emperor-akihito-turns-87/ Seems to be in a good shape, physically and mentally: "He has spent much of his time conducting research on goby fish at a biology research institute inside the Imperial Palace in central Tokyo and writing a thesis on a species found in southern Japan. He also takes daily walks with his wife, former Empress Michiko, at the Takanawa Imperial Residence, their temporary home." "Former Emperor Akihito temporarily lost consciousness and collapsed at his residence in January, but he has not experienced any major abnormalities since, according to his close aides."

2 pointsMe too! They must be desperate. Now would be an ideal time to purchase some DL buttons. They'd look quite snazzy on my fedora alongside the local Communist Party badges.

1 pointWelcome to this fine competition to predict the frontpage of this site: The DeathList Prediction Game 2021! In 2015 our very dear Vaagheid started the DL Prediction Game. After 3 years of hosting this competition he decided to retire. And because I really like the game, I've taken over as your new host. But what is it all about? Not that hard: What do you think the official DeathList 2021 will look like? Which celebrities will be chosen by the Committee in which order? If you were the Committee how would you compile the list? Please tell us by picking 50 celebrities listing them from No.1 to No. 50. There also will be a scoring system: +10 points for the exact position +5 points if the person is on the DL 2021 but 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 positions away from the original position +4 points if the person is on the DL 2021 but 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 positions away from the original position +3 points for every newcomer who also entered the DL 2021 +2 points for every returnee who entered the DL again +1 point if the person is on the DL 2021 but more than 10 positions away from the original position 0 points for unique picks -3 points for every pick who is not listed at the DL 2021 You are allowed 3 extra names (in order of priority) who will replace a name if one person dies before the list is online on New Year's Day. The player with the most points will win the DL Prediction Game! But even after this announcement, which will take place on New Year's Day or maybe one day later, the game is not over because it is exciting and interesting to see, who will win a little side kick game at the end of 2021: Were you smarter than the Committee? Did you have more hits than the original DL? Would your list have won? Please send me your DL Prediction Top50 through PM until the 30th of December 2020 at 23:59 CET (mainland Europe time 22:59 GMT). All entries are welcome if they include 50 different people in a chosen order from No. 1 to No. 50 (also your Shadow List will do, for example) and 3 subs. Hall of Fame: 2016: Book 2017: Book 2018: John Key 2019: Vaagheid 2020: TomTomTelekom

1 pointYes, they all die after I take them off. That's the fourth to die from that team this year after Michael Angelis, Ronald Forfar and Geoffrey Palmer.

1 pointEileen Pollock, actress who played Lilo Lil in Bread, will be on her back for eternity: https://www.chortle.co.uk/news/2020/12/23/47545/breads_lilo_lil_dies_at_73 IMDB: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0689654/ I believe she was a pick for @Handrejka in the DDP in 2018.

1 pointYou may have seen I have launched 20/20 +1 in another thread but there will be one last game to play on here before the thread fades into obscurity. After Book is declared a winner players can pick any person who has been previously picked for the year 1920 that they think will survive the longest and the last one standing wins the game. Picks not made till Jan 1st and it is first come first served. There are only a few names.

1 pointAh, ok. Reading the article, or rather the comments, it would appear he's been handed his P45, though it's speculation; no mention of health. People BTL seem to think he'll still be on TMS.
