Clapton is a cunt in general, mind. Compare that stance to Neil Young, who won't go back touring until his audiences can be safe. His words.

Damn he actually made it to his 98th Birthday. Pretty impressive feat given his health conditions. Found one article on his birthday but its more like a compilation of quotes from recent years, not much new stuff

A possibility for your future (in around 5 to 10 years) lists: Luc Lyucx (b. 1958) Yes, nobody has ever heard of him, but his death will likely get mentioned everywhere. That's because he designed the boring reverse sides (ones with the map of Europe and the coin value) of the Euro coins in the 1990s. He's still quite young but looks old and pale in many somewhat new pictures.

Andre Thysse, South African pugilist who lost world title fights at super-middleweight to Northern Ireland's Brian Magee and Germany's Markus Beyer in the early 2000s, dead from COVID at 52.

Quite right too. Clapton is a cunt if he's not in favour of protecting his audiences. I know there will be the argument that some people can't have the vaccine for genuine medical reasons, but there won't be many of those and I'm sure they could be accommodated in some way.

Elaborate on "current immigrant situation". We don't know the extent of illegal immigration - all those landing on our shores, whether its via a first class flight or the aforementioned rubber dinghy should be afforded the same process to determine their legality. If you'd asked for opinions on the current immigration policy, I'd say its a fucking disgrace.

Yeah, I meant "thread", not "friend", d'oh. I do remember Mother Teresa dying because the front page of the paper had the Pope crying about it, next to a picture of a bullfighter goring. This was on holiday in Germany and the non-Teresa headline read "Finally the bull wins!"

Interesting how Carter's 1976 presidential campaign manager and pollster are both dead and died in their 60s: Hamilton Jordan (1944-2008) was Carter's campaign manager and later Chief of Staff. He died in 2008 at the age of 63 from perinoteal mesothelioma. Patrick Caddell (1950-2019) Pollster. Died in 2019 after a stroke. Carter-Mondale Policy Planning Group head Jack Watson (b. 1938) is still alive. Later worked for Monsanto. Carter's 1980 campaign manager Timothy Kraft (b. 1941) who resigned over accusations of cocaine use is also still alive. Still some people alive Carter could outlive.
