I'd be willing to bet my life savings that this is at the instigation of some shyster lawyer rather than of Elden's own volition. I'm also looking forward to seeing law enforcement agencies chasing up the millions of people who've bought the album to charge them all with possession.

@Vinegar Tits, that brings me good memories. We were young and innocent then. You know, I miss my younger sister. We'd go down to the old record store after school. We used to sit in the store all the time listening to Darts songs. The owner was our uncle. I don't feel like listening to music right now. Since she died, it hasn't been quite the same. I'd like to turn back the time.

So this current drought is now about as long as the year has left.

Saw them twice in the 70's. First time when Den was the bass singer (that guy was a nutter in the best possible way)

The person who was the baby on Nirvana's "Nevermind" album sues for "sexual exploitation" / child pornography: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/baby-nirvana-nevermind-album-cover-sues-band-child-porn/ I guess he'd have a point if he hadn't revealed in numerous articles, that yes, he was the baby on the cover, e.g.: https://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2015/jan/16/thats-me-picture-spencer-elden-nirvana-nevermind "It's opened doors for me..." yadda, yadda...

Scottish artist Dame Elizabeth Blackadder, dead aged 89 a few weeks before turning 90: https://www.scotsman.com/news/people/elizabeth-blackadder-art-world-mourns-death-of-scottish-great-3358499 Cats and flowers....sworn enemies, yet Blackadder made them beautiful. Also a DDP pick - Scotsman counts, right?

RIP pure legend and such a great drummer. I always liked his calm demeanour. He was the glue that held the Stones together. Somehow, even with age, I wouldn't have picked him as first to go in that band. Jagger once said the Stones would only continue if he, Richards and Watts were all in the band. Interesting to see what they will now decide to do.

Apparently Charlie Watts had his own thread a millennia ago. (Ok, 17 years ago, ha!) For the record, he died today. But you know that.

The relative unscathedness of the Stones was one of those welcome musical miracles. But mortality creeps on us all. RIP

My suggestion for the list, if Liechtenstein is included, would be Wolfgang Haas (1948-) Archbishop of Vaduz (Catholic leader of the whole country) since the creation of the Archdiocese in 1997. Most powerful and known religious leader in the small country.

Experiencing real cognitive dissonance at a Tory talking absolute sense, and with compassion and intelligence. Just serves as a reminder that, as anti-Tory as I and many others feel, the party could and should be far, far less noxious. Out with the Johnson, Raab, Gove and Patel, and in with the Stewart, Soubry, Grieve and Gauke.

Groucho Marx died 44 years ago today, at the age of 86. "Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well I have others". "I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book". (Groucho Marx Quotes)
