7 pointsGolden Age of Hollywood star and Oscar nominee Cara Williams (wiki) dead at 96. Also once married to actor John Drew Barrymore (1932–2004), and mother to John Barrymore III (who in turn is Drew Barrymore's half-brother). Mentioned on here in Ideas and Possibilities threads as far back as 2011, and played in several pools. Dying just in time to be featured in TCM Remembers 2021, but surprisingly not picked in the DDP (last time was in 2019!). That may prove to be a fatal blow in us breaking that record for # of hits.

4 pointsOscar Wyatt (wiki), 97, American businessman who was involved in the Oil-for-Food Program scandal in '07, looks absolutely f***ed in these pics from 8 days ago. Unpicked in the DDP this year. I imagine there's a good chance of him getting a QO.

2 pointsMel Lastman, who was mayor of Toronto from 1998 to 2003, has died. He was 88. Lastman was also mayor of North York, Ontario from 1972 to 1997. A unique DDP pick and joker. https://www.thestar.com/news/gta/2021/12/11/mel-lastman-former-mayor-of-toronto-has-died.html

2 pointsYes not just because of his age but because we need at least one name on the list that we can cheer the demise of, now Limbaugh's gone. I also think George Alagiah should be considered, who unfortunately isn't very lucky with cancer and had to start another break from the News last October: https://www.theguardian.com/media/2021/oct/18/bbcs-george-alagiah-to-take-break-from-tv-after-cancer-spread
