Queen Juana of Castile died on this day 467 years ago, aged 75. Juana was also known by her epithet "The Mad". Historians believe that she was diagnosed with depression following the death of her mother (Queen Isabella I) in 1504, and then the death of her husband and co-monarch Philip I in 1506. She travelled with her husband's funeral procession (from Burgos to Granada, a 668 km/415 mi journey), and reportedly kissed Philip's lifeless body. Upon her death, her son (also co-monarch, who had confined her in the Royal Palace due to her "illness") Charles I united Spain and the Holy Roman Empire (the latter of which he ruled over since his grandfather Maximilian I's death in 1519), giving the Habsburg family control over a large swath of Europe. This dynasty would rule Spain until 1700.

While I'm keen to notch up another win (and fancy my chances as much as any of the other contenders), it did amuse me to realise that if Agnes Keleti (Olympian), Charles Coste (Olympian), Joe Pignatano (Baseball) and David Frankham (Star Trek) all die in short order, that would bring another 7 players (Chilean Way, Death impends, GCReptile, Perhaps, Banana, Spade Cooley and An Fear Baeg) into play with hits in 4 categories, waiting for a Cabinet Minister. Good luck with the tie breaks then, Biblio! Keleti alone would bring 3 more players to one away - and given she's 101, it's not that unfeasible! This game just keeps on delivering. Still, come in Secretary Hurd, your time is up!

Looking forward to seeing Rees-Mogg explain how he hasn't lied to Parliament as he didn't realise he was breaking the law while he was breaking the law. Ukraine Crisis or no Ukraine Crisis, off you go Boris. We'll muddle through with Ben Wallace in charge I'm sure.

I am just 27 years old now. If I live for around 90 years more , probably people will discuss about me here !

Dunno about you lot but I find it really surprising that Sunak and Johnsons Boris and Carrie have broken the law. They’ve been fined for doing so. Bless them. During the cost of living crisis an’ all.

I was counting the players who already had one unique hit and so a second would bring them into the completion phase. Game 1 was won on unique hits Game 2 on one in each category Game 3 all in one category At the moment we are only in the position for winners to go out with one in each category

Fined. Sunak fined as well. Can either of them survive this?

I count 13 with a unique, but 10 of those aren't currently in the mix to win. Of course, for each of those to come in to play, that requires an additional hit as they're all unique picks! I was having a look at past games and we're fairly comparable: Game 1: 24 hits across 17 months, with 5 waiting for 1 hit when it finished. Game 2: 33 hits across 16 months, with 7 waiting for 1 hit when it finished. Game 3: 19 hits across 8 months (and 1 week), 7 waiting for 1 hit when it finished. Game 4 (currently): 27 hits across 10.5 months, 4 currently waiting for 1 hit. Interestingly, although Game 3 was supercharged, the number of hits and those in the running was comparable to previous games. Further, the current game was pretty much on pace with Game 3 for number of hits (it was just over 8 months when we had our 19th hit in Game 4), but the difference is that hits were much more evenly spread (5 Pulitzer, 5 Olympians, 4 Baseball, 4 Star Trek, 1 Cabinet) than in Game 3 (10 Bond, 4 World Cup, 2 Space, 2 Nobel, 1 Eurovision).

Unlikely Pearly-gates mates number 43, both dying 41 years ago today - Prince Asaka Yasuhiko, at age 93, and Joe Louis, at age 66. Prince Asaka was a member of the Japanese ruling family and had control over Japanese forces at the time of the Nanking massacre; whether or not he personally ordered the massacre is still debated, but he was never charged thanks to MacArthur agreeing on immunity for the Japanese Imperial family. Joe Louis, The Brown Bomber, is generally recognised as one of the greatest boxers to have lived, having had 25 consecutive successful title defences. Both Asaka & Louis loved golf. Post-war, he became an ordinary citizen when branches of the Imperialist family were abolished, and spent much time playing golf, becoming involved with golf course design. Louis was introduced to the sport in the 30's prior to his first fight against Max Schmeling, and spent mush of the time he should have been training playing golf instead. He was instrumental in breaking the colour bar when he was granted a 'sponsor's exemption' to a PGA event in 1952.

And of course you and Buffalo Phil need a non out hit to take control of those two shared outs so every hit is important. But there have been months in the past where there has been no action in this game. Also there are 11 players on one unique and once they get a second it spreads the outs across the various categories. If the rumours about Joel Grey's health are true that would be an interesting hit
