10 pointsSuperstar Billy Graham (1943-2023) My days are numbered (Superstar Billy Graham, 1965) Donate to Jesus, pray GoFundMe (a very confused Valerie Coleman) No, no wait, this one: Age at death: 79 (human years), 134 (wrestler years) Known health issues: Liver transplant in 2002, bowel ostruction in 2006, terminal liver disease in 2010, double pneumonia and heart failure in 2013, liver disease in 2014, internal bleeding and surgery in 2016, complications from diabetes in 2022, skull infection, kidney failure in 2023. Cause of death: Foul play. Alignment: Superstar had become a running joke on DL due to his ability to exaggerate his health issues. Indeed we'll miss his continued hospitalization, his infinite faith in GoFundMe and moderate use of roids.

4 pointsI'm as stunned as you are. Some 13 years after he first definitely only had a few months to live and you needed to book him for your wrestling convention ASAP, "Superstar" Billy Graham has finally agreed to do the job for multiple organ failure. The man who brought steroids into the world of professional wrestling has brought some succor for a few of our less fortunate players this round: AFB and wannamaker get their first points on the board, while alt obits guy goes back ahead of Grim Up North in a ding-dong battle on average age. alt obits guy 7 vs Grim Up North 7 DevonDeathTrip 11 vs An Fear Baeg 3 gcreptile 13 vs deadsox 0 Banana 6 vs wannamaker 3

2 pointsGustav Mahler died on this day 112 years ago, aged 50. - Mahler was a Jew, but he had to convert to Catholicism in order to become the director of the Vienna Court Opera in 1897. Ironically, he drew influence from Richard Wagner, a known anti-Semite. - Mahler created ten symphonies from 1888 to 1910; his magnum opus, however, was Das Lied von der Erde, released after his death: - In 1902, Mahler married Alma Schindler, and they had two children- Maria (who died at the age of 4) and Anna. Their marriage soured after Maria's death and the fact that Gustav did not approve of Alma's composing aspirations, and Alma began an affair with Bauhaus artist Walter Gropius- they sought marriage counseling from Sigmund Freud. -After performing at Carnegie Hall in February of 1911, Mahler was diagnosed with infective endocarditis. He was sent back to Europe in April, and eventually became comatose in May. After a week in a coma, Mahler died- probably because the doctors used the radioactive element radium to treat him. - Mahler's widow Alma married Gropius almost immediately after his passing, and would later marry the author Franz Werfel.

2 pointsHe was a legend. Rest in peace to an amazing wrestler. He was a 2004 WWE Hall of Fame inductee. There are now only six WWE HOF wrestlers who were inducted in 2004, and at least half of them have health issues. Don Muraco, (still doing public appearances as of 2021) Greg "the Hammer" Valentine, (was apparently "violently ill" in 2018) Jesse Ventura, (steroid user, suffered blood clots in his lungs in 2002) Robert Rudolph Remus, A.K.A. Sgt. Slaughter (hospitalized with bleeding ulcer in 2014) Tito Santana (was doing interviews last year) In addition, there's also Pete Rose, a baseball player who was inducted into the celebrity wing in the HOF, (according to 2018 court documents, he has a heart condition and needs blood thinners, also disabled)

1 pointPerhaps that's part of the secret of his longevity. As I have remarked previously most of the main protagonists in Fawlty Towers have had quite long lives with the main four actors all making it to 80 plus. It's the opposite of Only Fools & Horses and The Vicar of Dibley.

1 pointSo he pitched a total of 2 big league innings? Doesn't take much to get an obit posted here. I'm not blaming you, Wildstorm, I'm blaming the entire world and everything in it. SC I understand your concern, and assure you that the main reason I posted this obit is because he shares his namesake with a beloved American chef (and this thread seemed most fitting). I otherwise would not have bothered posting.
