Quite the lineage. In full: DUNDAS Enid Rosamond (Robby), The Hon Lady Dundas, peacefully at home on 22nd May. 2 pointsLeanora Watson died on 18/Apr, was the oldest person living in Jamaica since 3/Sep/2022 and the oldest person born in Jamaica since 19/Sep/22, was born on 18/Feb/1912 and died in Brissett, Lucea , Hanover, now the oldest person born in Jamaica is Merle O'Hara, born in Kingston on 20/Feb/1912 and lives in Canada, the oldest known person living in Jamaica is Ethline Simpson, however her case is questionable and her date of birth is uncertain, being that she claims to be between jan/may 1913, and lives in st. Catherine, and there is no recent news about her, the strongest case then would be Nora Miller-Welsh born on March 28, 1914 in Hannover, and lives in the same place Facebook

1 pointAlso his mother was Nico, Velvet Underground chanteuse, Warhol superstar, Chanel model and famous junkie. Nico herself told the story of how she took him to the cinema when he was a kid, he needed to go to the toilet and she was too interested in the film so she told him to piss where he was sitting.

1 pointThe jury vote is to prevent the voting sequence being overwhelmed by the neighbourly and diaspora voting as it was from 2004-2008. (And the Eastern European diaspora has grown since then - Poland have become good at getting votes when during that era they were normally crap.) And if Edrogen loses in Turkey they could be back and they were the kings of the diaspora vote.

1 pointEuropean royal families only have about 6 working royals so see no need for more than C & C, Will & Kate, the Edinburghs, Anne & a few appearances by the Queen's remaining cousins except for Prince Michael who is not technically a working royal although he lives in Kensington Palace. It was rent-free but when this was discovered the Queen paid his rent etc but Charles may change this. Not sure why Anne's husband appears in photo as a working royal. The Edinburgh's children are too young & the York girls have very young children, always appear to be on holiday & are too closely linked with their father.

1 pointI have also just voted for Marlo Thomas. Surely those who are now dead should now not be showing on the poll list leaving just those who are alive remaining.

1 pointCamilla didn't look well during the concert, but word is that she's carrying a back injury, so she must have been pretty uncomfortable and doped up on painkillers.

1 pointAlready past midnight in Taiwan and a lot of other places, Taiwanese Buddhist monk Master Hsing Yun is 95 today! He's a major religious figure in Taiwan, one of the most prominent Humanistic Buddhism proponents in the world, writer, founder of the both Fo Guang Shan and Buddha's Light International Association and one of Taiwan's "Four Heavenly Kings", major buddhist leaders who have all founded a prominent organization (these organizations are called the "Four Great Mountains"). Hsing Yun was the oldest of the four, two of them are still alive, the other being nun, teacher, philanthropist Master Cheng Yen. His grandmother was a practicing Buddhist, he entered the monastic life at 12 around 1939 and fled to Taiwan following the communist victory ten years later. He's quite pro-China in political questions and this has helped him return to mainland China to build organizations there. He suffers from diabetes, heart problems and has had three strokes. The first picture was taken in 1997 when he met pope John Paul II at the Vatican, where they prayed for world peace.

1 pointIt's quite the turnaround don't you think? Camilla was a pariah when she jumped on the heir apparent's bones, now apparently the British public have taken her to their hearts. Harry on the other hand, one of the most popular royals, now being seen as a modern day Duke of Windsor to be jeered at.

1 pointHaven't they ever done that? How extraordinary. Seems an obvious moneyspinner. I don't see how. Isn't Eurovision like a 3-4 episode event? Seems like it would be pretty expensive to recruit acts in all 50 states for basically a miniseries. Also the people who like Kitsch/Camp and people who like state jingoism are 2 entirely different demographics in the Us. The Eurovision Song Contest is a single event, not a miniseries. A TV spectacular, a gala occasion. (Unless it's changed, I haven't watched it in years.) In th UK I think we have a preliminary show in which viewers can vote for the song to be performed. This aspect has varied over the years though. I suppose you could have people in each state vote for the artist who would perform the state's entry song, and/or vote for the song itself. As in American Idol or X Factor. That could be a series of programmes, then you have the competition itself.
