Update of two of the names above. Sylvia Thorpe (wiki) died on 15 January 2023, aged 96. Kate Sedley (wiki) died on 28 February 2022, aged 95. Both now appear in the Probate records, though there is also an obit of sorts for Sedley here.

Could always expand the vigneron thread to all alcohols. Can't really see who else will qualify for discussion in this thread other than Tim Martin and the Guinness family.

Am I hearing right? Gove is talking about their housebuilding plans. More beautiful houses in keeping with the area, with better infrastructure which will override local objections. You know that is all well and good. He then goes on to say the new homes, where they have been built, are worth more than existing properties. Which means they are more expensive to buy. Which means that young or first time buyers will never be able to afford these houses, because they can't afford existing properties! What a deluded cunt.

Pratchett's dementia turned out to be much slower than he had feared and iirc he wound up dying of pneumonia or a similar complication before it got really bad. Esther's gonna Esther, you know.

Remember that Terry Pratchett spent quite a lot of time talking about assisted dying and ended up dying at home surrounded by his cats. I am disappointed that Esther has taken this particular stance because I am sure her work with Silverline would have introduced her to many people who could be put under subtle pressure by families to 'do what is for the best'

@arghton may be an even better choice. Also I suggest it to be widely reported on Russian tabloids, that never fails to guarantee a full recovery within days.

Shirley Anne Field's death means all credit performers in Saturday Night and Sunday Morning are now deceased. I think there may be a few uncredited cast members still around.

This is just a shameless bump to remind people to enter, and the earlier the better! No advantage in this game to holding on to the last minute. Your New Years Eve hospice-enterers or ICU-admissions are of no use to you here! 10 entries so far, and mostly entered in an easy to process format - thanks. Don't forget to nominate a Joker as 4/10 entries have forgotten to do so far. Best of luck

Every time I see a thread like this updated at this time of year I make 'that assumption' and just start thinking to myself why couldn't they have waited a few more weeks.
