I never liked a single one of his movies.  His acting was so cringe to me.  Every character he ever played was an emotionless, monotone boring put you to sleep person..  Anytime my husband started to watch one of his movies which wasn't all the time or anything,  I wanted to leave the house.

I believe he will take over from Blinken once Trump wins. So the papers say.

I can't see any mention of him here.

I wonder if Berry Gordy or Clive Davis will be on the main list next year. There is a history of adding someone after someone connected or similar dies - in their case Quincy Jones.

Abraham Lincoln, James Garfield, William McKinley, John F Kennedy........

Just saying like.

Nobody has won yet, so you heard it here first, but 1 person has already had a pot shot this year and a second was on the equivalent of a grassy knoll.

Oh and I needed to find a thread The Old Troll wasn't driving everyone crazy in, only to discover the immediate poster above in this one was? - F*ck me.

American historian Robert Paxton is still alive at 92. Quite well known in France as he worked on Vichy’s collaboration but I think famous enough worlwide too right ?

Some essential newbies for the 2025 DL... if they make it

Alain Delon: Wheelchair bound, verging towards ninety in 2025, suffering from lymphoma, recovering from a severe stroke from five years ago, his family is breaking apart and he is in the middle of the Delon family fight.

James Earl Jones: Will be 94 in January, has been close to 300 pounds for most of his life, has been out of the spotlight as of late, has had a history of diabetes going back to the 1990s.

June Spencer: Um, she'll be 106 next June.

Eva Marie Saint: Um, she'll be 101 next July.

Teri Garr: Will be 80 this December, has suffered from multiple sclerosis for decades, has been too quiet.

A good list of selections for 2025... only problem, a little too good.

Eva Marie Saint had better tread carefully (although as she is the only one of the five on my shadowlist, she may see 2025).

William Bulger, brother of James "Whitey" Bulger and notable Democratic politician in his own right, serving as President of the Massachusetts Senate for 7 years, turned 90 a few days ago. Seemingly never before mentioned on the forum.

He's actually a neighbor of mine. I saw him recently on a walk and can confirm he is alive and well. Largely keeps a low profile, as his legacy has been tarnished due to his loyalty to his brother, and his lack of co operation with Federal authorities.

Roy Haynes: Jazz legend, unexplicably alive despite hard living for 99 years.

Roy Haynes reportedly dead at 99:

Lou Donaldson and Roy Haynes both gone in a matter of days...

These things happen in 3s...

Marshall Allen or Sonny Rollins himself. TBF, Allen is still doing well, while the other one has been dying for the last 12 years.

is there a thread where the current deathlist's situation is actively discussed? like who are actively on their way out, the fact we only got 5 in so far, etc.

There's 17 other jazz musicians in my DDP list. I did think of adding Quincy Jones to it, too.

I know there is no chance of him getting onto the 2025 DL but...

Ever since Eddie Floyd (R&B singer born 1937, who scored with hits such as "Knock On Wood") retired last year, it seems he detoriated a bit, at least according to the photos his son posts on Facebook...I am not saying he is 2025 DL material, but he is certainly a one to watch.

Jacqueline White surely must be considered, she’ll be 102 next year. Really will be the end of an era when she goes.
