Drewsky1211 4,726 Posted October 11, 2022 RIP. I'll always remember her as the voice of Mrs. Potts. I'm going to assume that the headline is going to be "Death, We Write", or something like that. 4

DoorSlammer 561 Posted October 11, 2022 Not unexpected, yet still really sad. I thought she was fantastic in The Manchurian Candidate.
RoverAndOut 4,745 Posted October 11, 2022 Ah bugger. Loved Murder, She Wrote growing up and she was iconic as Mrs Potts: Beauty and the Beast is a wonderful song gorgeously delivered. And, of course, there was so much else besides. Incredible she was still working only 3 or 4 years ago. Rest in Peace, Dame Angela.

Elvis is alive! 75 Posted October 11, 2022 Everyone says how sad it is that she died. She lived to almost 97, in her sleep, surrounded by family. She had a great life and was admired by so many on this earth. Now she knows the seceret. I say it is a happy day that she finally has shed this mortal coil and is living the life we all dream of. I say, Congratulations Dame Lansdbury, job well done!

The information I read suggested she had little energy and was sleeping most of the time. The zest and engagement from a few years before was leaving her.
ChrisM31 19 Posted October 11, 2022 Not completely unexpected, but I hoped she would reach 100. I'm sad. RIP Watched Murder She Wrote with my grandmother back in the day. Good-bye Jessica Fletcher.
