Sometimes I do have to park in less than ideal places to access our Cabinets and structures but that 'engineer' is a monumental fuck knuckle. Its all unsurprising really as he/she is known as ( in the trade) a 'Kellys Hero' due to them working for Kellys communications, a contractor Virgin and my wank employer.

Suffice to say, they are fucking shit engineers too.

All classic corrie videos uploaded by Auntie Corrie have been removed due a copyright claim by ITV studios.

The majority of actors in lots of the episodes are dead, the episodes aren't available anywhere else and ITV has no plans to release them and someone else has already started re-uploading them. This really is the height of stupidity by ITV studios. Unless they are actually going to release the episodes through DVD, itvplayer or an online store they're is really no point removing them.

Preppers.

Those people who stock up on tinned beans and a massive arsenal of weapons in the belief that the end of civilisation as we know it is coming.

If that is the case the last thing we are going to need is an army of flatulent, bigoted, conspiracy theorists running around.

Because we're supposed to be sorta pals, I'll try not to mock your world view, for the sake of peace.... in our time....

I can see how that would be annoying, especially if it's loud.

Christmas. It's expensive, it involves spending way more time with family members than anybody really wants to, everybody is ramming forced cheeriness down your throats, you've got to try and determine what to get people for christmas without offending them, decorations start going up everywhere.

This year it's even worse as the weather's ridiculously mild.

I'll be spending Christmas alone this year. I'll do what I did last year and finalise my DDP teams and email them to TMIB. They are as good as done, but I'm waiting in case any of my picks topple before then.

Yeah I kinda agree.

The warmness of the last 3 winters is pissing me off cos usually it's convenient to put booze in the garage (especially at Xmas and new year) and it used to guarantee it ice cold but not any more. Plus snow is cool.

I'll never forgive those damn cavemen for driving their SUVs around and ending the ice age.

I'm with you on that one. It's lost its true meaning.

Sorry not going to join in.

We had a wonderful time decorating our tree on Sunday. We are planning to have meetings with both sides of the family and we need to be careful because we don't know each year whether it will be Dad's last one. Money is short but love is plentiful.

I find that asking people what they would like works very well.

For those people, I invariably get something that I know they like. Their favourite drink/food/toiletries etc. Unoriginal but safe.

There's only so many times you can ask someone want for Christmas before you seem like an irritating git. Thankfully I only have a handful of people to buy for this Christmas and they've all said what they want so the usual "will she think I think she's an alcoholic if I buy her a bottle of vod or will she think I think she's fat if I buy her a box of choccy?" isn't an issue.

I'll more than likely be on my own too. I might pop into DL chat Xmas evening if anyone wants to join me.

You only need to ask them once a year. ;)

No one I know would give a shit what I thought about them, nor would I care. But I don't have any secret drinkers on my present list, they're all out and proud

I think you're overthinking it, especially with the chocolate thing.

Other tactics are encouraging people to keep a wish list; something I do myself so that if asked what I want for my birthday, I can present some alternatives.

And keep your ears pricked throughout the year for any clues, eg people saying things like "I could really do with ... " or "I'd love one of those ..."

All that said it's still an expense I could xo without. I'm setting up a Christmas fund for next year in January.

On the choccy thing - if you get s little box someone might think they're one of your "Ibdon't care about them but i need to get 'em something" list - if you buy someone a massive box they might think you think there a fatso.

It doesn't help that I'm extremely anxious and tend to think negatively.
