Johnnie Walker - how's he doing?

Recommended Posts

Considering that he had said that the show is keeping him alive, that's very ominous news.

Should be strongly considered for the 2025 list if he makes it that far.

Replacing him with Bob Harris on Sounds of the Seventies does not seem like a long term solution

Well, let me check my lists AGAIN!!!!

I think he was third sub on my main DDP team, leaves with with room for only one more death in 2024 there.

Happy New Year's Eve or something.

(He wasn't holidaying in Australia by any chance?)

Currently feeling like a smug player who'd never put Betty White on a list... (I say, like it wasn't because I'd been wholly unaware he was ill)

No doubt the Committee will have a suitable substitute.

Not a hit as such but it does prove my point that deaths can happen in the dying hours of a year (see Betty White as an example!)

RIP Johnny Walker

Would have been number 32 on this years Crowdsourced list

Surprised it was that low - he was one of the few clearly famous and clearly close to the end people.

One of those names that didn't really register to me until people started submitting teams. So it's mainly a FFS deadpool hosting death for me.

He reminds me of this Yes Minister sketch:

"Bernard, wanted in the communications room, a Mr John Walker."

"Johnnie Walker?"

"Yes from the Scotch office. Sorry, Scottish Office."
