msc 18,467 Posted January 6, 2018 I'm more hopeful Vervoort didn't make the Drop 40, tbh!
Joey Russ 7,227 Posted January 6, 2018 If Vervoort doesn’t make the drop 40, then the few people who didn’t joker her will be at an advantage imo. Of course, I’m hoping for the opposite since I did joker her, but it’s going to be close...

Other than it being a bit ghoulish of course.
Joey Russ 7,227 Posted January 6, 2018 Well, she’s going to be on at least 26 teams this (I counted how many times she appeared on a team), and she’s probably going to appear on more teams that aren’t necessarily on the forum. If she somehow doesn’t make the drop 40 though, I’ll congratulate you, RadGuy, and anyone else who decided against jokering her...
msc 18,467 Posted January 6, 2018 Oh if she gets on by one team, you can have a hearty laugh at my expense for that B-team inclusion.

msc 18,467 Posted January 6, 2018 Hmm, Elias is my 47th DDP hit, all time. I mean, it's not quite 100, but I'll be interested to see who is number 50 all the same!
Joey Russ 7,227 Posted January 6, 2018 Elias makes it 13 total hits for me so far, though I'm only in year 2 of this. I think I'll definitely reach 100 hits by my tenth year of this though...
Toast 16,140 Posted January 6, 2018 She is my 70th hit, not counting theme teams. 71 if we include the non-obiting joker from 2011. Bitter, moi?
Death Impends 7,975 Posted January 6, 2018 Just checked mine. Elias #62 for me. Guessing 2020 or 2021 will see my 100th hit. Looking at the stats and facts page and the 2017 hits, Banshees crossed the century threshold last year and Deceased Hose looks a good bet to do so this year. gcreptile 10,972 Posted January 6, 2018 If I cheat, and count all my teams together, then Rayya Elias and Thomas Monson are hits 64 and 65 for me. The Love Boat in its 4th year is now at 31 hits.

I think you have a right to be bitter there, she should have got an obit and likely would 100% nowadays with the Guardian chasing the Oz market.

Heef 166 Posted January 6, 2018 Jim Anderton (Former NZ MP and Deputy MP) died today. He was at least in two of my teams. No QO yet, and there's probably only an outside chance of one. I'm going away from the next 7 days on voluntary work, so if anyone sees anything, check it in. Cheers! Would have been #1 on a NZ Franchised Deathlist, for the record. Torva Messor 279 Posted January 7, 2018 Rayya Elias is my first hit ever on the Derby Dead Pool, and on some others offered here (in signature).
FixedBusiness 407 Posted January 7, 2018 I remember Bert saying something about Rayya completely evading him during last years DDP. This is similiar to me: I just completely forgot to add Rayya on any of my teams, but had her for a couple other DP's and when she died and I went back to see my teams just to see she wasn't there, I gave myself a giant facepalm. Heef 166 Posted January 7, 2018 I didn't pick Rayya Elias as I'd never heard of her before she appeared on here. Not in the slightest. I'm not a fan of picking people I'd never heard of at all.
