Just seen that the legendary British newspaper editor Sir Peregrine Worsthorne  has died  at 96.  He is one of those people that I thought must have died years ago ! https://www.theguardian.com/media/2020/oct/05/sir-peregrine-worsthorne-obituary   

 

edit- it seems someone else may have posted  news of his death a few days ago. sorry.

Typographer Ed Benguiat dead at 92. Created loads of fonts, his eponymous "Benguiat" typeface is better known as the "Stranger Things" font. Avant Garde Gothic (seen here in the Cassius album cover) and Modern 216 (the "Sega Master System game title" font) were also his. Also designed the logo for the movie Super Fly.

Bob Biggs, the 74-year-old founder of Los Angeles independent label Slash Records, died on Saturday morning (Oct. 17) due to complications from his long battle suffering from Lewy body dementia.
