Brilliant work! Thank you. Would it be an idea to round up all these posts about the forum changes and move them to the Forum Upgrade thread? It's a more logical place to look if we want to check anything.

To which I say: did you see what breaking with tradition and adding in Sir Creep's 2016 team as "one of the contenders" last year did to his team? His Hits dried up practically overnight. Hmm, potential Pan Breed opposition, you say...

You can hover your cursor over the date and it'll display the exact time of the comment within a few seconds. Also - turns out removing likes from Activity Feed was rather easy. Did so just now.

I was kind of hoping someone else would do the traditional "fag packet aspergers" thing and do the 1am look at the folk picked by last years top ten. But here we are, nearly March, and nary a pip. So here's my half-assed shot at it last year for comparison. And here's my equally half-assed shot at it this year. Confessedly can't take all the credit, Grim Reaper figured quite a few things out as well like how to return the "Who's Online" widgets. But still... it is a nice day in the Netherlands, just ignore that location in my sidebar...

Various reports online that Raymond Smullyan has died aged 97. So far all I can see is Twitter/Facebook posts from academics, no obituary yet but it appears he passed away yesterday. Edit: Here is an obituary.

Hewlett got a whole Media show special yesterday. It was very good but that might mean they leave him out. Probably won't get to listen as picking my daughter up late.

@Toast So a tantrum smiley? Ask and you shall receive. And one more new smiley: Not going to go overboard with new smileys though, so that's likely it.

Sir Kenneth Newman, former Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police (1982-1987), has died aged 90. Sir Nicholas Wall QC, former President of the Family Division of the High Court (2010-2012), has died aged 71. Edit: Rather tragically, it's been announced Sir Nicholas Wall committed suicide after being diagnosed with dementia.

I cant just get my head around the fact that they left three children, all under the age of 5 alone in a hotel room in a foreign country.

Betty White. She is an animal advocate, LGBT rights supporter and a longtime vegetarian. Seems like we have a lot in common...

Peter Gabriel is on the record saying he always used to try to lip read the fans in the front row to remember the words. That was in his twenties.

Rarely heard of him, but this comes up on Wikiquote: That, I like.

He's definitely a big name. He has not been picked for the DDP but I'd be shocked if he does not obit.

#9: Norwegian zoologists have found about 30 plastic bags and other plastic waste in the stomach of a beaked whale that had beached on a southwestern Norway coast. The visibly sick, 2-ton goose-beaked whale was euthanized, Terje Lislevand of Bergen University said Friday. "The (whale's) stomach was full of plastic," Lislevand said, adding that its intestine "had no food, only some remnants of a squid's head in addition to a thin fat layer." Well done, humans! SC

Well, going by that photo, she's clearly not permanently consigned to a wheelchair. That's just one of those functional wheelchairs for the temporarily incapacitated, or other one-off use. I'm hoping she was just taking the weight off her feet because being Japanese, she's scheduled to appear on my DDP list somewhere circa 2036.
