1 pointMuch as I hate to say it, sounds increasingly like he needs to just call it a day on this tour and performing in general. He's in his 70s and his life is starting to catch up with him.

1 pointLink below - so me and my mates get another rollover by the look of it. Not actually cancelled. I'm guessing on the present evidence that Judas Priest (support act) are tied into this as well because they were support to the first postponed shows. So it must be fucking with their schedule quite a bit https://uk.news.yahoo.com/ozzy-osbourne-says-hes-recovering-203925462.html

1 pointNot to say tennis is astoundingly good for your longevity, but Gimeno is the only French Open champion to have died from the last 61 champions. In fact the 1950 French Open winner, Budge Patty, is alive aged 95. Folk like Jana Novotna and poor old Elena Baltacha are very much the exception.

1 pointIf anyone has any picks that are too old .Please swap them out .I think I have found most of them.If you don't you will have to wait 3 months after they die before they can be replaced and you won't receive a point. When someone hits the magic 25 a vote will take place as to whether to carry on until we reach 50.If we get 50% of players i.e 7 that want to continue then it will continue to 50.If there is a tie the players involved will pick a new 50 names which will go to sudden death.

1 pointLauren Fay Bruner, one of the last survivors of the bombing of USS Arizona during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II, has died. He was 98. (Bruner had been wounded by machine gun rounds and suffered burns to over 73% of his body and spent the next seven months recuperating in a Navy hospital). After his death, only three survivors remain alive ( Don Stratton, Lou Conter, and Ken Potts). He will be buried with the wreckage of the USS Arizona. RIP SC EDIT: So I thought I would have a look, and Bruner did get a QO, meaning the last three names are all in play for DDP purposes.

1 pointTook a trip through Nicholas' IMDB, just to see whether I could narrow down a cinema release film where he was the last survivor. Thanks to the longevity of folk like Gudrun Ure, Leslie Phillips, Bernard Cribbins, Michael Craig and others, and also the seemingly endless screed of untraceable minor role actors who stopped acting years ago or only appeared in one film...I could not find one. I mean even Frazer Hines played an urchin in one!

1 pointA Washington (state) woman, hoping an octopus on the face would make for a prize-winning photo, instead wound up with something she never expected: a faceful of pain and a trip to the hospital. Jamie Bisceglia was participating in a fishing derby in the South Sound near the Tacoma Narrows Bridge last Friday when a group of men in the competition snagged an octopus. Bisceglia, 45, recalled asking the men for the juvenile Pacific octopus they’d snagged, saying, “I’d like to eat it for dinner.” She asked a number of men to take a photo of her with the sea creature, intending to enter the snap in the derby’s photography contest: “It’s soft, it’s squishy, it doesn’t feel like it can hurt you — I put it on my face.” Jamie was sent to the hospital after posing for a photo with an octopus on her face last Friday. And at first, that wasn’t so bad. “The tentacles were squirming in my ear, my nose, it was just playing with me on my face,” she said. Jamie Bisceglia told Fox News she asked a group of men to photograph her with the octopus “And then all of a sudden its beak entered my chin and my eyes popped open wide and they could all see that I was getting attacked, and the photos are taken at the moment it was attacking me.” The sensation was vivid and unforgettable. “Oh my gosh,” she said, “when it bites you it feels like it’s barbed and if I pulled it out it was going to take out my flesh.” Once she eventually pulled the octopus off, she said, the pain was so intense, and the bleeding lasted for a half-hour. She still didn’t go to the hospital for two days, determined to finish two back-to-back fishing derbies first. Between derbies, she even went to a friend’s house, cooked the octopus for dinner and “enjoyed a beautiful meal that was delicious. I got a little revenge,” she added. The next day she competed in the second derby. But when she woke up after, she realized she had to see a doctor immediately. “I could tell I couldn’t swallow properly and I could tell when I opened my eyes it was kind of blurry, the left side of my face, my throat, my glands were swollen and it felt my left side of my face was paralyzed,” Bisceglia said. Doctors informed her the swelling could last for months. And “I have to take tons of medicine, three different heavy doses of antibiotics and I’m taking milk thistle, which is supposed to help with the venom.”

1 pointThere was a time on Just A Minute When Gyles Brandreth had the subject and was in full flow so Nicholas Parsons didn't ring the bell at the end of the minute and just let him go on to see how far he could go. I used to think he was a self opinionated idiot but I began to hear him on the radio more and I think he is actually someone who knows what he is talking about. However whilst I am at it I will throw in Chris Evans.

0 pointsThe number of elephants in a Thai national park that died trying to save a baby elephant from drowning has risen to 11, officials said Tuesday. Thai authorities initially said six elephants were dead after a roughly 3-year-old elephant drowned at Khao Yai National Park, about 85 miles northeast of Bangkok. Five other elephants were thought to have jumped into Haew Narok Waterfall to try to save the baby. A drone has since located another five dead elephants near Haew Narok, the park's tallest waterfall. Fucking awful. SC
